Like some red with dinner on occasion and find this to be a good mix of inexpensive and tasty.
Creates thread on wine and mentions Yellow tail as being good?
I have a bottle of that cued up in my wine cooler. Looking forward to trying it.
Yellow Tail or Black Opal were the two entry wines back in my uni days
I normally only drink wine because I'm with some chick drinking wine and I'm just drinking it to get drunk, but if I'm drinking for taste, I prefer dry reds. I discovered this Chilean blend when I worked at a liquor store back when I had more hair and less of it was grey. It's a Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Petit Verdot.
I usually cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir or merlot at a $10-$20 price range
I had the Pinot version of this yesterday for the first time. Was a good drop.
Yeehaw. @HI SCOTT NEWMAN @Jackie Blue
I can tell the difference from cheap wine and good stuff. Yet mid tier to the great ones not so much. I do like red with meals though.
Usually Blauen Zweigelt made in Austria from the Winemaker Umathum for around 10 bucks a bottle.
Most of the time I like to try new stuff. Don't really have a brand I hold onto.
It's rare to find a wine that's unpleasant if you spend a few pounds nowadays. Gone are the days a bottle might turn your tongue blue.
I prefer red.
This one's my regular
I like hedonistic fruit bombs. Red wine with high alcohol content, but not the real cheap shit that bums drink.
Vineyards & Makers
Franzia Boxed Wine with 7 up.
I drink just about all the style depending on the season and what I am eating, though I tend to stick to dry wines.
Usually in September it's still pretty hot so I drink mostly white wine, Chilean Sauvignon Blanc for cheap everyday white, a step up I'd take Alsace Riesling especially if I am having chicken/seafood and prosecco for cheap sparkling wine on the weekend.
During colder months, I stick to reds and whiskey.
Sassy goose or any rhubarb really!
Someone recommended Yellow Tail to me recently.
Oh we are doing cheap and nasty now. I'll raise you this...
No exaggeration after drinking two bottles ($14), and 15 minutes of madness. Three grown men were sleeping by 3pm.
