The usual White,Blue,Purple,Brown,Black - no stripes. The green belt thing is fine, in that the skill level at whitebelt ranges from nothing to pretty f'n decent and another belt in there probably would be best - but as it's not standard doesn't it make things aquward when going for comps? or do all greens fight in whitebelt divisions?
I thought that white-blue-purple-brown-black was pretty much standard and yellow-orange-green thrown in there for the kids at most schools.
where i go they have regular white belt,a certain belt for 2nd stripe, 3rd stripe belt, 4th stripe belt, blue, blue/purple, purple, purple/brown, brown, brown/black, black but u compete with the regular white, blue, purple, brown, back
I always liked stripes for white belts...keeps the gnubs interested cause they know they are advancing
no belts we use shirts and hackney gives them personaly. no testing crap you get the next shirt because hr feels you are ready for it white=new avg.2weeks to several months depending on prev. exp. yellow=intermediate start sparring stay here for a while (18 mo. myself) green=advanced few go past here red=instructer brown=only a few here generlly after 3 or 4 years and 7+ pro fights black only gideon and keith have this one make it to UFC and get one
