What kind of job do you have? I studied philosophy of science at university, but that was completely useless. Now I am a developer (instructional design specifically). I should have studied that instead of wasting my youth on useless employment pursuits. Anyway, it pays well, I'm happy. There seems to be lots of jobs available in my field. I think if falls under white collar work. What job do you have specifically? Do you like it? I put a poll as blue collar (manual labor) or white collar (office work) just to get an overview.

Professional internet masturbator. Surprisingly, it's all suit and tie. White collar.

White collar. Planning for a manufacturing company. Been there for almost 14 years, current position for over 10. It's fine, I dont hate it. Decent pay, good benefits, flexible schedule, and most important 5 miles from home.

Interesting, most are white collar so far. Probably because we are in front of a computer for hours anyway, this place is a click away.

What if you get into an accident, does your company pay for the damages?

I think you'll likely find more on here who bridge the gap between the two. I believe most who would say white collar are more likely than not middle managers. Unlike us professional internet masturbators.

I manage a law firm. Which means I do less than a secretary. But get paid more.

Chatting. I'm not amazing at the practical stuff, but I'm friendly as fuck which has apparently gone down pretty well.
Never thought I would end up a receptionist but unless I fuck something up or my boss is being jealous, it ain't bad.

I'm 45 and my other half isn't working at the moment. So even if I wanted to it ain't happening. My studying days are done, all I learn really is about food and I don't think I could stand in a hot kitchen for 9 hours a day.
I'm not complaining, it was my decision to move somewhere where I couldn't legally work and put a massive hole in my resume.
