If you ever had a job/career path in the past that you would not recommend anyone to do? What would it be?

For me, it would be Journalism. Hardly any jobs and the gigs that pay are shit. You write articles for sites that hardly get readers for no profit. It is a hobby, not real work.

I know a guy who failed to make it in Law, last I heard he works at a packaging factory. He said it was too hard to get into Law.

My brother failed to make it as an architect. Also hardly any jobs

You think you could be a journalist , when you already pay to plagiarize simple school reports?

Law Enforcement.

Everyone hates you, pay is shit, mental health gets destroyed, no backing my leadership, political parties use you as cannon fodder when it's convenient, Etc etc etc

Retirement is okay, but the average life span of a LE professional is 10-15 years less than normal folks.

Cops in Canada make 100k after 2-3 years.

Thats definitely the case today, 30 years ago, it was a different job…

Speaking second hand here: but I've heard many people say working in law sucks... it's not all jumping on tables and screaming "OBJECTION!!!" it's mainly tedious paperwork. Furthermore, not every lawyer is making bank... a lot are like Saul Goodman (at the beginning of BCS) and not making much money. Obviously some really good ones do well, but that isn't everyone.

We have some lawyers on this forum so they could probably speak to it.

The worst part is the lack of backing by leadership but the general public thinks leadership is covering things up to help you. <45>

Im a teacher and although I dig my job, it's not for everyone.

Students don't want to be there, don't get in shit for treating others like shit. We teach a curriculum that no one wants to learn, no one wants to teach and forced upon by a crooked government.

Parents are assholes and always tough to deal with, head office can be difficult to deal with, always cutting teachers and adding more students to crowded classrooms so the quality of education goes down and we get the shit end of that blame stick too.

The pay is actually decent and we get lots of holidays, good retirement plan, but we work tons of extra hours for all of that privilege as well.

Again I do enjoy the challenge and whatnot but it is not for everyone!

Teaching. Don't bother if you are a white, heterosexual, male with any sense. The stated goal of the education profession is to run white teachers out, and commit massive fraud. I won't even go into it, but anyone "teaching" is committing fraud these days. Nobody learns anything, and grade inflation is mandatory.

America is doomed as a nation, because of what has happened to the education system. Public schools and universities are insane asylums. I worked in education at multiple levels, including the university level, and they started mandating that standards be dropped and learning was no longer required because "racism" two decades ago, and the end result is the mess we have today. Teachers get great benefits and decent pay, but they are actively participating in the downfall of this country. Sad!
