This sounds more like it, Volk seems like a guy that will get triggered if you don't take him seriously. He is a little guy, its normal.
Imagine a little guy that wanted always to belong to the big guys (Rugby), is now fighting one of the bigger guys in his weight class thats "handsome" on top... Is Ortega what Volk always wanted to be?

Its same thing that alot of people dont like about Ortega. He has this nonchalant cocky attitude.

On the show Alex hated that they constantly where waiting on Ortega to get show up. He also would miss several practices and not really coach his team. UFC obviously edited to make Ortega look better and more caring which pissed Alex off more.

Then theres whole issue with Ortega popping for roids.
 
It's because Ortega comes off as a phony. Dude has some serious phony vibes. Like he's trying really hard to remind everyone how hard he is coming from the mean streets of San Pedro and Torrance Cali. He's bought himself a cholo starter kit: the hooptie, the ruca with a fat ass, the plaid shirts...and now he's throwing up west coast signs..next thing you know is he's gonna give himself a bad credit score...hilarious!

He's trying to sell his fight. His biggest raise opportunity is in PPV points. As you saw Jones and Diaz speak about recently in interviews, they are pressured to create dramatic intrigue around their matches to improve their pay.
