Its the only time I'm ok with entrapment. Make it clear the girl or boy is WAY underage, meet them and arrest them.

I posted it here once a long time ago but I got caught up in an entrapment situation in Seattle. An 'underage' girl ppropositioned me at a huge rave (guessing 20k ppl) like 10 years ago. When she told me she was like 10 or 11 or something I told her this wasn't a good place for her and that she needed to go home. I went to get a security officer to kick her out or call her parents and before I knew it I was swarmed by cops (it was a sting).

She vouched for what I said and nothing happened. I was actually looking for M, thank god I never got to that part before she propositioned me.

I actually think you're right. It's sad because good people aren't going to want to be cops anymore, which means only the losers that can't get other jobs will be cops and then they'll screw up and make people hate cops even more. It's a vicious cycle.

I go out of my way to be nice to every cop I interact with. Even the ones that give me tickets. It's a tough job, a thankless job, so I try to thank them when I can.

It almost reminds me of vietnam. How our soldiers risked their lives and went through hell only to return and have these idiots call them baby killers and shit. It took a long time for this country to realize collectively how wrong that was and then the sentiment changed to thanking soldiers for their service every time you see one. I think that's the approach we need to take with cops too.

When you show them they are appreciated, then good people will want to become cops. And when that happens then wrongful shootings and excessive force situations decrease.

Exactly. It is a job that absolutely needs to be done, and you would know every day that you are making the world a better place, but fuck. There is no way I could do it. I wouldn't be able to let go of that rage at the end of the day.

I kid you not, one of my friends did that in Japan, cleaning up the soapy massage parlours. Most of the women working were single mothers trying to make ends meet. Quite a few hot ones, but he never got any freebies.
