What is the first good James Bond movie?

I have seen all n moat do not hold up test of time well at all. Ino best bonds are Golden Eye, Skyfall , an Casino Royale for re watch. If u can handle the cheese For your eyes only , goldfinger, n moonraker are good.

High five sherbro! I've been crushing bond movies at night during this, they are absolutely hilariously cheesy. I fuckin love it! The silly gadgets, the villains, him fighting women, the whole world he operates in is as ridiculous as it is glorious.

I'm watching them for a laugh and an escape and man do they deliver.

They're quite different depending on who the Bond is.
Roger Moore was Bond when I first watched them but tv repeats mean I've seen the Connery ones too.

The Timothy Dalton ones didn't really work for me and the Pierce Brosnan ones got a bit ridiculous and the 'franchise' was rescued by Daniel Craig. Matt Damon was doing Bond in The Bourne Identity better than Brosnan was doing in Bond.

Start at the start with Doctor No and work through them. If you don't like it just try the next one. It doesn't really matter as no one has anything better to do atm.

Just finished Goldfinger that is number #1 so far. The villains were great and so was bond.

Goldfinger
From Russai With Love
Dr No.

Onto thunderball

Goldfinger and The Man With the Golden Gun have been the best.
Roger Moore is not a bad Bond at all.

On Her Majesty Secret Service was horrible I thought

As long as you come out realizing Timothy Dalton is the GOAT....they're all good!

Man With The Golden Gun was one of the first ones I saw as a little kid and was a bit blown away by Bond fighting an entire dojo and escaping so many of them chasing him.

I do prefer Roger Moore because he didn't take things too seriously like Craig and Connery.

they're free on amazon prime again so going through them - haven't seen Lazenby's in probably over 20 years

i have to say right off the bat, there was a noticeable improvement in the quality, angles, fight scenes compared the the first few by Connery - the more i think about it, those fight scenes in the first few were very reminscent of the fight scenes in Star Trek TOS and The next Generation - clear stunt doubles and just kind of lame.

I watched diamonds are forever followed by you only live twice and i have to say, overall, lazenby's is so far better overall - i do like Moore's You Only Live Twice though, story was cool.

once youve seen the right bond movies its time to see austin powers

I loved Casino Royale, Best Bond movie in my opinion

Daniel Craig's performance shows the character more dark then the other Bonds

Casino Royale was great in the same way as Batman Begins. Showed the gritty backstory before becoming a fantasy superhero.

IMO Pierce Brosnan was the worst Bond. Built like a vegetarian feminist, he didn't have the presence to be believable in physical badassery like Daniel Craig and Sean Connery did. Sure he was smooth but as soon as shit hit the fan, you'd expect him to trip on his shoelaces while chasing the bad guy, lay in the middle of the sidewalk for 3 minutes holding his knee, then get up and go to the drugstore to get some neosporin and powder for his nose.

In CR, Daniel Craig made you believe he could chase you into the sewer, rip your head off and then shower and go out to dinner in a black tie.

I recently started working my way through the Bond movies in chronological order. The first one that I really enjoyed was Goldfinger.

I cant wait to get to 'On Her Majesties Secret Service'. As a kid I always avoided it, Bond was either Connery or Moore and it seemed like a BS movie, so I am looking forward to finally watching it.

I just watched it for the first time in over 20 years.

Better than Connery's to be frank. Lazenby filled the role suitably but he did lack a certain charisma that Sean has naturally. Roger Moore's first movie was not bad, he was not very believable to be frank and his movies just got sillier and sillier.

From Russia with Love ironed out the kinks of Dr. No and was the first legit good Bond movie.

Goldfinger was the first movie that, based on what came after, could be considered a Bond movie. Weird plot, gimmick henchmen, death traps, and puns.
