Brackets

Exponents

Division / Multiplication (in the order they appear)

Addition / Subtraction (in the order they appear)

Answer is 1. Y'all need to Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally this stuff.

Parentheses, Multiply, then Divide.

2 x 4 = 8.
8 divided by 8 is one.

Multiplication doesn't have priority over division, they are at the same level of priority, you do the leftmost one first

1+1=2
8/4=2
2*2=4

Go back to school

I got 1 because I don't stop working with the parentheses until they are gone so 4(2) is still first priority. Probably not a hard and fast rule, just my way of thinking about it.

Nah dude, you just work within the parenthesis until it can't be reduced more

Once you have 2 in parenthesis it just becomes *2

Order of operations, brah

Rule 1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses.
Rule 2: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right.
Rule 3: Lastly, perform all additions and subtractions, working from left to right.

Glad someone around here finished middle school
