Stiverne didn't look great but Wilder has to be given some credit there at the very least. Stiverne's strategy seemed to be to wear Wilder down with body shots, and once he'd worn him down try to land clean on the chin when Wilder's defences were down. Only the body shots didn't tire Wilder, and he found it difficult to get past the reach and land many meaningful blows to the face/head. Wilder did a good job of neutralising him with the jab.

i feel like haye really could be the best second best great boxer slick powerful and fast always in shape but he lacks confidence sometimes its like performance anxiety because he performed at about 1/10 against klits did not look like the same guy and I think the fear of losing to a classless act like fury and how big tht fight was he physched himself out

man i really wish haye and fury fought

anyway if wilder left his hands down and did not bring the jab back to a defensive position after he throws it like he did vs stiverne haye would ko him easy

Dat Chin though plus that was what 2 - 3 years ago ? Deontay has improved though Haye would be a bit too savvy right now, although Haye is probably Rusty when you consider his time out

and haye could poop the bed like he did against klits

Haye is in the states i wish he would work with a guy like freddie roach and just want to fight

first fight haye vs tarver or arreola or charr settle that beef

second fight wilder big money fight

third fight defends the belt in manchester stadium vs tyson fury

anyway haye vs wilder is great matchup but 100 percent wilder is fighting spitzka in his next fight

Arreola is awful. Why should Haye fight him? Haye's aim was to get into a title fight with Klitschko. Arreola does nothing to advance that goal.

Arreola has no business with anyone near the top right now.

    its called a comeback fight
hes gonna fight the likes of a arreola or charr

I mean maybe he can comeback against a guy like tarver. But haye said he wants to fight 4 times a year and i believe he said he wants to fight in america so I figure a easy comeback fight tht would sell would be a mexican american hw vs a british hw. It actually the perfect comeback fight for haye.

Haye says a lot of things though. He absolutely has no intention of fighting four times a year or fighting someone like Arreola. He doesn't need to fight Arreola in the US. If he fights in the US it'd be against Wilder, but if he wanted a tune-up fight he'd more likely fight a European heavyweight in the UK. Ultimately his goal is to get a Klitschko rematch on decent terms.

Chris got two cracks at Stiverne and failed so he needs to work for anything he gets now , also guy wasn't very good when Stiverne was wrecking him and is probably an easy win for top contenders

Word on the street in Tuscaloosa is that Wilder will defend his title on Haymon's primetime NBC slot this summer vs. Shannon Briggs.

They are trying to get Wilder lots of exposure and make him look good doing it.

Ew. That sets up Wlad for the winner.

Thats a step back for Wilder imo but I get why they want to do it.

He should have an interim fight soon with someone like undefeated Glazkov in New York City and build a promotion toward a big fight with the Klitschko-Fury winner.

My prediction is that Haymon will use Wilder to prop his enterprise on the networks and eventually Deontay will want the big money that mega fights with Klitschko and Fury will get him....a split will come.

Wilder has everything that can turn him into a cash cow. I very much doubt that happens.
