What's more impressive, Conor starching Aldo in 13 seconds and UD over Max Holloway
OR
Volkanovski 30-27 over Aldo and 50-45 over Holloway?

Imo, while both impressive, it's Volk. for showing the ability to sustain the status of being a better fighter over the course of several rounds.

Edit: Those who say Conor, would that change if Volk defeats Holloway decisively again?

Volk.

Conor did his homework, and caught Aldo because of him telegraphing his intent 13 seconds into the fight. That situation could have happened later--it just happened to occur then.

Volk systematically beat down two elite fighters.
 
Volk, especially if he finishes Max in the rematch.

Volk beat a past prime Aldo, Conor destroyed a prime Aldo.

Also, that 13 seconds was the whole story. Clearly and without a doubt, Conor won that contest.

Max is still very good but prime Max disappeared after his fight with Poirier. That was a career trajectory changing war.
 
Aldo’s 10 year undefeated run featuring 9 title defenses and a 25 fight win streak at FW.

Not sure about that one, after Dustin Max made Edgar look silly before fighting Volk

One have to give context to each fights though.
Aldo did not fight his best fight against Volk. Matter of fact it was his worse showing ever.
On the same token, Max (against COnor) was very far from the beast he became AFTER Conor.

That said, while Conor's wins were impressive due to the time it happened and how it happened, I do think Volk shutting down both Aldo and Max (at his peak), it was more impressive to me.
 
Max is so much better now than he was back then. Not only has he filled out, just look at his movement and how well he finds openings.

That win by Conor was not nearly as impressive .

Is not like Aldo was washed up or anything going into the Volk fight, he was coming from fucking up 2 serious contenders in Stephens and Moicano before getting shut down by Volk.
 
Max hasn't looked good in a long time, I'm a big fan too.
 
I don't remember any of Volks fights. He is hard to keep interest on the screen.
Might be impressive, but no one is looking his fights up.
