If it's mostly striking, look at who controls range for the majority of the round. Brunson getting a TD for a minute and landing 100 shitty punches on Anderson's arms/ribs doesn't overcome being countered, kicked and backed down for 4 minutes, even if there isn't much action. This is why sites that count strikes are often useless.

Irrational judging should be allowed to be protested and warrant a hearing with the commission.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for any judge to not be impartial to one fighter over another, for whatever reason...I know judges are supposed to be fair an unbiased but, is that even possible?

Something as simple as having a terrible vacation in the country where one fighter hails from or, the judges sister was physically abused by a French guy which happens to be the fighter's home country. Is it possible to remain neutral when situations as such exist?

Are these judges not MMA fans themselves? I am sure that they have their favorite fighters just like the rest of us..How do you remain a neutral judge?

The problem isn't the rules. The problem is and always has been the judges themselves.

Here's how we fix this problem (yes I know it won't happen):

Have 9 judges in soundproof rooms. They get a live stream of the fight but NO commentary or audio, not the crowd noise or even the sounds from the fighters. Each judge scores the fight independently. After each round and before the next one begins, the judge has to enter their score in a computer - they cannot change their score once it has been entered. The computer then picks 3 random judges' scores and selects them as the "official decision."

Using the same computer program, you track each judges' scores over time. The judges whose scores are repeat "outliers" - the ones who keep scoring the fight for the losing fighter, the ones who keep scoring rounds for the losing fighter, the ones who refuse to give 10-8 rounds when deserved, the ones who don't actually bother watching the fights before scoring them - they're fired. Get rid of bad judges, keep good ones, and use stats to weed out the bad from the good.

That way over time you see the quality of decisions improving greatly and the number of robberies go down.

There will always be robberies just due to the human element in scoring, but we can reduce them and we can get rid of bad judges who take money out of fighters' pockets.
