What is Conor's next move?

Yep, life will pretty much go on for both parties.

But UFC 200 will not be as big anymore.

Of course it won't, but UFC took care of a problem and won't really lose much financially over the year so they really lose nothing while showing Conor who's boss. I think it was a good move for them.

I personally think at this point he just needs to wait until UFC 200 plays out in July and face the winner of Aldo/Edgar. He tried to make the rematch with Nate as big as possible, and for whatever reason it's not happening. Best to move on and defend the title now.

For what ever reason? Reason's have been given, it's pretty clear by now. Conor did not want to play ball on the marketing front. The Ufc will always make it a point to show that the promotion is bigger then the fighter, they are willing to give up sales to show this is the case. What better example to use then the fighter who generates the most for the organization. Big sales on one card are not a deal breaker for them, they bet on themselves every time in these situations. Conor may be able to restructure a few things on his contract at best upon his return. Same thing they did with Randy. This is par for the course always will be if any fighters try to stand above the ufc as these guys tried to.

Not gonna happen ....Connor cannot make 145 and the UFC knows this

A fighter making an appearance on a major TV show is hardly a chore, it is a great perk in fact. It increases exponentially the ability of the fighter to be picked up by an advertiser or even to attract the attention of a movie studio. It's basically money in the bank. Conor made a huge mistake, he could have been the center of attention on Good Morning America today. I bet he realizes that.

hopefully his next move is to realize everything he has done in the past week was a waste of millions of dollars and he just shuts the hell up for a while.

Disagree, he needs to recover the spotlight. All these guys are into it for the money, and media exposure only increases their money making potential.

1) Get paid millions more $ to fight, whether it's at 200/201/202 or whatever.

2) Laugh his little green leprechaun balls off at all the shertards menstruating about how stupid he is.

Notice you forgot to add #3
Winning his next fight...

At least he gets to laugh..

Conor will never be the same after the loss. He was a huge draw while he was winning, but will now be nothing more than a flash in the pan. His true value is promoting fights and he doesn't even want to do that anymore. His ring resume doesn't approach anywhere near elite. Once he loses another fight or 2, he will be in Bellator, where he can probably run over the roster.

He planned this, he is terrified of the Stockton Slap. 3 week camp Diaz sonned him. Full camp Diaz hurts him badly, his stock would drop so much. This way he gets to avoid Diaz, and save face.

I think he realized what a dumb career move teh rematch is at this point.

Losing to Diaz was not the problem, it was how he lost. Had he refused to tap (like Holly), he'd be a hero now and his stock would be even higher. If he rematches Diaz and loses very well, he'll recover.
