What is and is not a white person?

How do you define a white person? I often times hear that white guys like Orlando Bloom "cannot be full white", despite his ancestry being traced back hundreds of years all to England. Or German's like Mats Hummels, you get the point. Some say Italians are white, some they are not. Some say Eastern Europeans are white, some say they are not. I've heard some people say "white people cannot have both dark hair and brown eyes". I've heard people say all sorts of weird shit, that Louis CK isn't white he's Mexican or Canelo Alvarez as another example. The reality is there's light skinned Iranian's with blue eyes and there's guys like Sean Connery in Scotland with bronzed skin, dark hair and dark eyes or Ian McShane from England.

This has become a point of amusement over the years since I've studied anthropology. I'd like to hear some of your opinions, definitions and reasoning on the matter since Sherdog seems to be such a colorful place.

Interesting Wikipedia article. There have actually been a lot of court cases that disputed what was or was not considered "white" in the eyes of the law.

No shit, I assure you I know the difference between what an ethnicity, race and nationality are. Most people however, do not. Well race and ethnicity are largely misconceptions, so I can get the confusion but we aren't speaking intelligently here, I want peoples flagrant opinions!

I think Louis Ck has Spanish and Indigenous Mexican descent on his father's side along with Jewish and Hungarian roots. On his mother's side it's Irish and German. Although all of those ethnicities can then be extrapolated into many other ethnicities no one is really "German".

Armenians, Georgians, Azeris, Jews, light skin Yazidis and Kurds are not white. By the same token true original Greeks and Spaniards should not be considered white.

White= White European belonging to one of the specific white European subracial groups.

Location of people today doesn't mean shit. Some White Nationalist try and include Jews or Armenians to bolster their numbers and will include a tan looking Middle Eastern Scillian or Greek solely because they were born in Europe, which is stupid. Many Turks and Levant Arabs look similar to many Greeks and southern Spainairds. You cannot include a tan dark Spainaird or Greek as 'white' and then exclude Turks and Israeli Jews or Kurds. In so many ways they are the same people belonging to the subrace known as the 'Mediterranean' race.

I do it based on European subracial history/genetics and by phenotype (appearance). True Iranians for instance are not blonde hair and blue eyed with pale white skin unless you believe in debunked nazi history stuff.

No Sakuraba is not white. And the Irish are white they were only not considered "Germanic" whites. But for all purposes a lot of Irish and English/Native White Brits are quite similar in appearance.

^^ I didn't include the top area of Russia (Murmansk & Nenets) because they aren't according to map charts original areas of white skin color. I believe a off-white looking Asiatic looking 'Europeans' lived up there. The origianl Sami people I believe.

Today though many Spaniards do have European/white and even Germanic blood in them. However, the original inhabitants can not be considered a 'full European' people. As the 'racist' Ripley used to say "Africa begins at the Pyrenees" isn't entirely true but has a truth when considering that Southern Spaniards and Portuguese (of the Iberian peninsula) have a similar phenotype to that of North Africans. And the maps make sense logically. Skin color has a lot to do with environment and it doesn't make sense to have white people originating in Mediterranean warm climates (hence their absence from Crimea and Southern Ukraine or many parts of the Balkans).
