"In a 58-page document recently obtained by MMAjunkie, the UFC and its new owners, WME-IMG, make a robust and revealing case to potential investors. Contained therein are multiple charts and graphs, even a map, detailing how the MMA industry leader’s business was built, and why it’s a sound investment now.

The document also provides hints of a broader strategy moving forward, which could reshape the UFC and with it a large chunk of the MMA landscape.

It’s revealing information in part because of how closely the UFC has guarded financial data in the past. The company has long refused even to release pay-per-view sales figures, much less provide a detailed breakdown of its various revenue streams. Here, in making a pitch to potential investors, it does all that and more.

The picture that emerges is of a fight promotion on the rise. Maybe that’s not surprising considering that the company’s owners assembled that portrait for the purposes of convincing investors that the UFC is a good bet, but the numbers are telling nonetheless."

Shit dude, why are you posting sensible stuff when you could be asking about Conor's three simultaneous belts, Fedor GOAT, some shit about some dude I've never heard of called Plat Perry, calling Bisping the worst champ ever or posting a poll about who is the best gay fan of a given fighter.

Of course this data is important because it shows exactly the direction the UFC needs to go (Bellator freak fights!) to make back the huge money they need to pay. Also explains why GSP is not being asked back and explains why Conor can molest Danas daughters in front of him and get away with it.

This is the Heavies. Data and documents? Nah dude, innuendo, allegations, trolling and sycophancy.

What you do not know is that I hacked the site and altered all of the documents, charts, and even edited the video.

Tell no one.

More ufc business stuff @shadow_priest_x

Seriously a lot of commentators have said that this info means massive changes to the UFC and they will not be good for talent or employees. Massive cost cutting and concentration on profit. As in more shit like Reebok and only caring about the big fighters, no more good shit like insurance, stricter drug regime and Dana fight bonuses.

I don't follow. Explain how the biggest Canadian star and one of their all time PPV kings should not be asked back?

Because he's not Golden Boy Conor, wants a ton of money without having fought the last couple of years (these dudes are hardasses and only look at what recently happened) wants rigorous drug testing and will not accept the Reebok bullshit which the UFC has to double down on.

Wow, this article reveals a lot of information. It just shows how much the UFC relies on Ronda and Conor for PPV revenue. It also showed that they could probably cut a big chunk of their fighters, cut cost and potentially increase profits with less revenue.

I honestly feel the UFC/reports inflate the shit out of the reported ppv numbers.

Rampage said a while back he was paid for ppv buys and when he saw the reported #s couldn't believe how far off they were

Actually GSP ended up saying give me a fight on my existing contract. Which is peanuts for what he is currently worth. They refused.

So GSP initially asked for more money, still less than his worth, and then caved and said ok let's use my old contract.

They would have made 8 figures easy on him. They are basically killing the Canadian market rather than rejuvenate it and earn a huge payday.

even more strict?

they already have the most strict drug testing there is

and more strict drug testing = more chance that the biggest stars get caught in doping, like jonny and brock were

ok, I think I misread

good then, fuck strict testing

they refused because they can't get rid of reebok, that's my guess

his old contract probably meant under armour and all his sponsors. but they can't do that

GSP caved in to that. Initially he wanted a pay increase to make up for lost sponsors. Lorenzo agreed.

New owners came in and said sorry, we won't do that. GSP tried to negotiate, they refused, he said fine, give me a fight I will fight on my old contract.

UFC refused to offer him a fight. Sponsors/Reebok did not come into play at all in the end.

but that doesn't make any sense. if it was just his old money without sponsors, why wouldn't they let him fight?
