I mean look at the carnival like atmosphere that permeates the big PPVs. It took a guy from WWE to get the biggest PPV. So what about if they recruited cross over athletes from the WWE to train in MMA. Present UFC athletes would be trained in WWE 'good guy vs bad guy' type scenarios. The outcomes would be predetermined based on the the script. You would now have WWE fans paying for UFC PPVs. Would Dana and the Fertittia Bros sell out if it meant big $ coming in. Why not? I think it would bring a renewed interest in the UFC, but even better...mo money.
I can just see the Diaz Bros and McGoat being the stars. Shoot, even Brock may decide to come back. Hey, how bout John Cena vs Cain Velasquez?

    It all about the Benjamins

They should work together in some capacity.

You're so angry with him that you're willing to bring his name up in a thread that has nothing to do with him. Add to that the fact that he's effectively retired at the moment.

Sounds personal, did he touch you in the no-no place?

I think this would work better if the fights were true though.

This way you get WWE fans and do not lose the Hardcore MMA fans.

    ...

    Nah.
    I would hate it!

I rather everyone is like Machida. True martial artist, no drama, no wolf tickets!

Ufcs relaxed policy and stance on illegal narcotics would be a HUGE incentive for more wwe superstars to jump ship. Remeber when iron shiek and hacksaw duggan got caught with coke? They were crucified and blackballed in the industry...Ufc would praise them for it like the champions they truly are

They are slowly but surely putting together their version of the circus ...we got Cm punk, 102 lb womens tuf aka waterworks every episode, rampage back after HUGE demand, and more unneeded rematches than in boxing..and it's only january

I'd love to see John cena climb into the octagon...he already beat one Kane for the title...let's see if he can beat another. Providing Cain can make it to the actual fight that is. I think cenas upper body strength would cause BIG problems for cains wrestling game and everyone here knows the cardio machine that cena is. Would be almost as big a super fight as Anderson vs Diaz..and would make just as much sense

But there would be no drug testing, because it's entertainment, not really a sport. I can just see McGoat roiding and getting the body of a bodybuilder to go with his 'I am the shit' persona.

Would further perpetuate it's fringe status. Already a pseudo a sport.

Move it to Japan and change the name to Pride, and everyone would love it.
