What if Khabib's chin is just as good as Nate's?

Eddie and Aldo had great chins but it only take seven pounds per square inch to sleep any man, so long as it is put on the right place.

Lol wtf? Eddie has a TERRIBLE chin, he gets dropped every fight. Eddie does have great recovery, however.

Duffy seriously Conor was basically an Amateur then he was TUF fighter, his skill was basic back then.

All Conor has to do avoid takedowns that's it, Khabib is not going to do anything standing up in reality

Conor does not lose when he got cardio. Nate in the two fights was beaten easily in the stand up when Conor gets tired is when people can beat him.
All he has to do is avoid the takedown looool. Like its so easy....he is gonna get mauled

It's something that people aren't considering as a possibility for some reason.

They think Conor kos anyone he connects against... when clearly we saw that this isn't true.

He can KO any FW on the planet (Aldo & Mendes have really great chins) but @ LW his power actually doesn't look extremely impressive like Melvin Guillard.

conor's biggest issue is going to be his cardio, in my opinion. we saw it against nate, and in this fight, he's going to have to defend takedowns, something he didn't have to worry about with nate.

People think of Conor as this one-hit KO Magician for some reason but forget that he couldn't finish Nate after 7 rounds of connecting clean against him.

He couldn't finish Duffy either after connecting with him.

Only UFC LW he actually put down with his strikes is Eddie.

People think of his epic FW run and forget that Conor @ FW and Conor @ LW are 2 entirely different animals.

At FW Conor was like a crocodile in a river.

At LW Conor is like a wolf in the wild.

There are stronger, bigger, badder animals out there.

Michael Johnson wobbled Khabib.

Nate boxed up MJ.

Keep thinking Khabib has a strong chin.

I don't think Khabib will get a takedown in the first two rounds. He actually might not even go for one as long as he's not getting too hurt. The real fight will be in the last three rounds IF Conor doesn't get a 1st or 2nd round KO.

Its a risky gameplan for Khabib but I think its his best chance.

Lot of assumptions being made here. He’s never been tko’d or dropped.
Maybe you should worry about Conor’s chin given he was tko’d his last fight and wobbled by Nate few fights back.
As for Khabib getting wobbled and him giving up on take downs; the opposite will happen, if he’s hurt he’s going for more.

Lol u guys want to create this myth that khabib can’t get hurt so bad it’s ridiculous. Lol Nate isn’t immortal pay attention he rolls with shots !!! He is not getting hit flush , he just bleeds easily so u think he is getting hit clean . Anyone If hit on the button will get rocked. Khabib dosent do that we seen with mj and al he literally sticks his head back up and freezes

lol at you guys.

they aren't going to fight.

connor is terrified of kabob

at least that's what I keep reading on sherdog

and kabob is going to get injured or miss weight.

just because they agreed to fight doesn't mean they will.

If Khabib’s chin is equal to Nate’s then he is practically invincible and will retire as GOAT. Not kidding.

Forget Conor. Nobody at LW would beat him, ever.

Nate isn't all chin

He knows how to roll with punches and Conor still dropped him multiple times...You think Conor will hesitate to jump into Khabib's guard if he drops him like he did Nate?

Then Conor is fucked.

But who's chin has ever been as good as a Diaz?

Its not.

Nate doesn't only have a good chin, his ability to take the shots that he does, it comes from rolling with punches. He also has huge reach/height which means he can use frames and his jab to stop Conor from landing with all of his power.

Nate has a lot of boxing experience. He's been boxing since a teenager.

However, Khabib isn't going to be hit nearly as much as Diaz. He will get the clinch and get a takedown as soon as he sees the opening.

Real question is, what if Conor’s TDD is better than a real estate agent’s?

Real question is, what if Conor’s TDD is better than a real estate agent’s?

Conor got taken down against Nate Diaz and Al Iaquinta is a community college wrestler who neutralized Kevin Lee and outwrestled guys like Jorge Masvidal.

The very least that could be said about Raging Al is that he's a much better wrestler than Conor.

Nate doesn't keep his chin up. He takes a punch really well, but he also doesn't take a punch with his chin sticking out like Khabib (or Conor for that matter).

Nate is a lefty with a 76" reach. Khabib is a righty with a 70" reach. Conor's left is a natural counter to a right cross. Against Nate he could only counter the right jab. Nate doesn't fully commit to the right jab and often is pulling back even before the punch is fully extended. That makes it very difficult to land a left counter with effectiveness - no forward momentum , Nate's long reach and Nate rolls with the punch. The great distance also gives Nate more time to react. Khabib doesn't have these defensive skills or the reach advantages. Khabib tries to stay just outside his opponent's punching range, shifting back to avoid punches, then quickly moving in to look for a clinch. Khabib may have a better chin than Nate, but it won't matter. He'll be taking the full brunt of the punches. In addition Khabib's usual style of closing the distance, charging forward with a 1-2 and ducking under, leaves him open to the counter left. He may try to shoot low singles from outside(like the first 4 rounds vs Iaquinta), but I don't think this will be successful against Mcgregor's hands low outside style. Khabib will revert to the bum rush - (5th round vs Iaquinta, all rounds vs Barboza).

Good analysis, but you also gotta figure in Conor's aprehension of being grabbed by Khabib. Against Diaz, there was no threat--he could plant his feet and throw like he wanted. Against Khabib, he will be throwing more with his upper body, scared of the takedown. Meanwhile, you know Khabib will have his hand sewn to his right temple--Khabib has already admitted that he has no intention with him in the first round.

Its amazing to me that people think such a high caliber fighter like Khabib will get caught by the *one* thing everyone knows is coming. Like a great coach in sports, you take away the other team's best weapon (if you can). Eddie should have done the same thing, but he falsely thoguht he could *also* stand and trade with Conor. Ego got the best of him. Khabib doesn't have that same ego.

Conor will get ragdolled if Khabib gets in close.
