What if I told you 5yrs ago that Hunt/AA was being talked as a #1 contenders fight?

5 years ago Mark Hunt wasn't taken seriously and Andre Arlovski wasn't even in the UFC.

Mark Hunt could've been greatest of all time if he had gotten into MMA a little bit earlier. I have little doubt about that. He's kicking ass, approaching 40 in a post TRT world.

No telling how many of those losses to juice boxes in Pride would be different if there had been strict testing.

This past year or two has bee insane in terms of career turn arounds.

Lawler, Brown, Hunt, Arlovsky

MMA is a wild and crazy sport. You never know what's going to happen. And that's why I love it.

But others will cry that MMA is dying because 2 men who were hardly UFC relevant 5 years ago are being talked about as title contenders. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I think it's amazing and great.

I'd laugh at you and call you a troll. Seriously, who would've thought.
5 years ago, Brock, Cain, Carwin and Dos Santos were ruling the division and it was my favorite era of UFC heavies... good times.

not surprised. aa's good, and hunt always had potential once he learned how to defend kimura's

If it bothers you so much to see the fans of a fighter talking positively about his career then avoid Hunt threads and maybe you won't get so upset.

There's one thing about being positive about a very entertaining guy, it's another to act like a dude with that record is some great fighter.

Oh please. Hunt got in the game WAY late. Didn't even start grappling until he was in his 30's.

His striking has always been amongst the elite, and arguably he was the best in the world at one point.

Dude transitioned straight from Kickboxing to MMA, wasn't even taking it seriously.

The record =/= the quality of fighter. Some dude in Bellator is like 30-0, does that mean he's better than Hunt? Think dude... just think.
