What if Conor to had to live with never being given an opportunity to avenge his loss? What would it do to him? I get that everyone thinks Conor is the biggest money fight but what if Diaz decides he wants to pursue his career at 155 while he is in his prime?

Diaz will not turn down a rematch with Conor.

What's to stop them from rematching at 155lbs, aside from Conor wanting it at 170?

I really, REALLY hope he does just to fuck UFC over massively. Haha, that would be SO great! I actually think he might too.

It is the most money-gaining fight possible for Nate, who has said that he want money fights. He has also very good probabilties to take home a win against Conor again. But If he stays inactive to long and Conor starts beefs with other UFC fighters and have memorable fights with other fighters then him, Nate will be more forgotton when it comes to fighting Conor. But maybe he doesnt give a fuck about that since he got paid really good last time, and won without any questions.

Exactly. nate strikes me as someone that really doesn't get excited about any fights. His attitude is "he wants to fight, lets fight" And of course he wants the big money. which I think he deserves. he's always deserved it. so better late than never...

Conor doesn't need to worry about that loss. As I see him losing other fights in the near future.

There is not a chance in hell that Diaz will turn that fight down.

However, there is a small chance they ever fight again.

Just use your imagination and change that to McGregor Money Playboy

You are proposing a scenario that doesn't make any sense, but I'll bite. Then Conor has to live with the L and will claim that Nate is running from a rematch. He will argue that his preparation wasn't right because of promotional demands and that with a proper camp he can beat Nate.

But again, your scenario doesn't make any sense. Why would Nate not be willing to rematch a guy he already beat with no camp and who will give him the biggest payday he can possibly get?

Diaz wants that rematch and Conor will not win it. So Conor will always have to deal with the fact that Diaz is both the better fighter and the bigger fighter.

Diaz likes money more than fighting. He won't turn it down. Good stylistic matchup for him and much more money than fighting a tougher opponent (no offense meant to Conor).

Not sure why this loss is so special to Conor. He didn't seem to care at all about avenging the 38 second tap to Duffy and said he had to earn the right to fight him.

I guess turning into a panic wrestler by a gazelle really did a number on his psyche.

If Conor really wanted this fight... he would have showed up to the 'mandatory' presser. Since when are presser events mandatory lol... I'd say since Dana didn't want Conor to get his ass beat again.

After their fight, Nate said he wants the big money matches. As long as Conor remains a big money matchup for Nate, I don't see him refusing a matchup.

The fact that not Conor or either Diaz brother will be there is a massive failure for 200.
