What if Conor also loses his FW belt ? is he gonna stay at FW, trying to get another chance or go to LW and fight guys with same weight/height? I think he should never consider fight at WW again. Guys there cut form 200 lbs to make WW limit (look at Woodley, Hendricks, etc.). And Nate is 155er, who was 2-2 as WW

I'll give him chances at LW, it is just hard to see Conor at 145 looking like mummy

He'll knock Demetrious Johnson's midget head clean off.

It's a hard one, because he's champ just now, but if it was me I'd have bailed to the LW division by now. That weight cutting is killing him slowly but surely! I think he will defend once then go up and vacate.

He'll be only fighting at 155 by the end of the year IMO.

but it still amazing he made this 145 cut 7 times already

He might retire. Im serious. Hes rich, he was king. Im sure if the pay checks get smaller and he becomes non maint event he might step away. Hes mentioned many times getting out of the game early and healthy.

i doubt he will retire, he is still star and can be main eventing in Ireland multiple with some low-ranked or bottom top10 guy and make another millions

A lot of fans are expecting Conor to pick up where he left off at FW but I think that he is at a very high risk of losing a second fight in a row.

I think that he mentally left that division and the excruciating cut behind him. For him to go back now, and face Aldo again, will be hugely demotivating.

Also, that loss to Nate is surely going to affect his confidence. The fear of gassing out (esp. with the weight cut) and being humiliated on the ground again has to be on his mind.

Then there's the fact that his opponents now see how beatable he is.. Things have changed. The pressure is on.

He will fade into obscurity if he loses. I think next cut will be super hard for him. It would be smarter for him to take a fight at 155, but then he holds up the 145 division... He is in between a rock and a hard place right now.

He would've went the same route as BJ Penn. I suspect he will. Come up to WW, lose...only instead of just going to 155 where your belt is. He's traveling back down to 145

I'm sure he already has FU money

Conor would get endless rematches. As long as he can make weight, he will either be the FW champion or be the number one contender. Not necessarily because he deserves it but because he is the money fight for the UFC and the other fighters.

He'll be fine as long as he is around. Look at Chael...wasnt the greatest fighter ever but he made it fun to watch (whether you wanted him to win or lose) so he still brought the ratings.

Conor losing 145 belt an staying here means more interesting fights at 145 against: Swanson, Lamas, Bemudez - guys that may never make to title again

I truly believe he's going to lose his next fight and have a major fall from grace. He had an unprecedented promotional push and was extremely lucky with matchmaking and was able to beat some people mentally, but now that he's lost that aura I think he's going to have a really tough time. I don't think Aldo is all that far off when he talks about Conor's fairy tale run.
