Of course everyone is saying 'I expected this' but what about the people that said Munoz would take him down?

hard to believe but it might be because people are capable of improving

Mousasi's TDD is so overly bashed that it's funny. He got taken down by King Mo (no shame in that), and Keith Jardine because he was winning from his back. He's clearly worked on it since then and out-wrestled OSP, a good wrestler who's been a beast recently. Since his fight with Jardine he's been taken down by Latifi in the third round with a bad knee, and if I recall correctly Machida got him down once.

Mousasi used to be too comfortable on his back. Now he realizes that's not true.

so some people predicted the fight wrong
what now? are you going to grill them to infinity?

He'll still get shit on, just like Lombard. Two of my fav outsiders in UFC and they never get the respect they deserve but have what it takes to be champs in their divisions.

Heard that, sheepdog will never these dudes credit.

I hear Munoz was a bum anyway.

Moose knew that that was the only probable way Munoz had of winning. He worked on his TDD, and fought in a way that basically forced Mark to shoot for damn far away. Probably wouldn't work against another wrestler with longer reach or better striking, but he'd fight differently in that case.

That reversal to mount was sweet as hell.

I thought Munoz would win. Gegard has looked so lacklustre lately, and if Mo can wrestle him, I figured Munoz could too. Not surprised Mous won, he's a killer. But in light of recent fights I was picking Munoz

It didn't happen but your thread is laying on us all and smothering with dumbness.

mousasi has clearly been working his wrestling. a strong wind used to put him on his ass.

I like watching Mousasi fight a lot, I'm glad he won, but threads like this and people that start them are so lame

Pretty much, the Mo fight was really more a story of Mousasi not fighting to US judging criteria as it was him actually being outclassed on the ground.

Most people who comment on the Jardine fight haven't even watched it, Mousasi dominated that match and should have won it even with the point deduction. If that fight shows anything negative about Mousasi I'd say its more that he doesn't seem to have as much finishing power standing in MMA as he does in K-1.

He just needs to work on the GSP targeting system and he'll be unstoppable with that GNP. :icon_chee
