What happened to MMA in Canada?

That's a shame because there's a dozen prospects in my head I can think of easily that will make waves in the sport from Canada.
Hopefully they figure something out because Canada needs the platform for these up and comers to gain popularity.

TKO is back up and running after a long hiatus, so maybe that's one avenue that television broadcasters may take and thus also gives the young fighters exposure up here. Might not be a bad idea for somebody like Sportsnet or TSN to pick up in the future provided TKO can show some success til then.

In boxing, those two broadcasters have never been too shy about showcasing English speaking boxers. TSN used to show a lot of Shawn O'Sullivan's fights (think he had an 9 fight contract with them back in the 80's). Billy 'The Kid' Irwin was signed to them for quite a while. Scotty 'Bulldog' Olson was another. Most recently Steve Molitor had much of his career play out on TSN. Sportsnet still broadcasts the occasional small-time boxing show that takes place in Canada. A promotion like TKO that showcases young Canadian talent in MMA could certainly be an option for those two broadcasters.

GSP put 'em to sleep and Kalib Starnes did the rest?
