I know I know I know my disciplined friends, he missed the weight. But in the grand scheme of weight misses, the margin here is the most insignificant in recent memory. Remember that by this standard, Georges wouldn't have defended his belt against Nick (but I'm sure the angry folks have no issue forgetting that in the name of his legacy).

In the event that Romero beats Whittaker. WTF would the UFC do? Have Whittaker defend his title against someone else? Give Romero a third try? What a nightmare that would be! I would imagine the UFC is really hoping Yoel loses because of the sheer nightmare that would ensue.

Romero would move up to 205 and fight Rockhold or Gus.

Yeah it's a shitshow. The commission stopped him one hour prematurely for God knows why.

Dana White implied that, should Romero win, Romero should move up in weight and fight the number one contender at LHW.

But given the small ammount by which he missed, you'd think Whittaker would want a rubber match with Romero, as much as anybody.

If Romero wins, I for the record would like to see the rubber match, with the title actually on the line this time.

If he wins we get to watch the shitshow
It would be a pure shitshow. Like he wouldn't be the champ, but everyone would know that .2 pounds is a joke. lol. But he's still not the champ. Jesus

vs Gus for interim title at 205

If he wins he's the 185 champ. If you don't think so, go back and listen to how Dana was talking about Khabib vs Iaquinta being for the belt both ways despite Al being 155.2 and saying "if you beat the man, you're the champ".. UFC can and will put the belt on whoever they want. If Romero brutally KO's Whittaker they're putting the belt on his shoulder, not Whittakers.

Dana will move him up no way can he risk all the fallout from another missed weight cut.

I would hate that, regardless of who wins.
I can understand why, but it'd be 1-1 if Romero wins. Plus, it'd be a controversial win. Leaving it like that wouldn't seem right.

Whittaker wins and it's done. No need for another fight between them.

If Yoel wins:

-The UFC promotes the fuck out him
-The next MW UFC title fight is geographically massively in his favour
-The UFC make sure all PR never mention the weight cut miss or the non-title issue
-Yoels enters the next MW fight over weight again and the cycle continues

Not the case as pointed out by another sherbro @Mischievious

He weighs in at 2:04:18 and misses weight.

Comes back out at 3:59:44, camera is live this whole time at the scale. That means Yoel had 1:54:26 pretty damn near 2 hours. His coach is full of it.

Realistically UFC should cut him win or lose. This is super unprofessional and makes UFC look second rate

If Yoel wins it obviously GSP vs one of of the Diaz brothers or Conor Mcgregor for the real MW belt.
