He's a terrible striker then, who's never been dropped fighting against the elite of the LW division. He's been on the feet for substantial amounts of time with great strikers and despite Joe's histrionics has never been rocked and barely hit cleanly. He's an unorthodox striker, and very unconventional which makes him very tricky to deal with on the feet. Saying his striking is "terrible" at this point, is a ridiculous oversimplification.

He needs to stop with that weak-sauce left down the pipe - only works on manlets and doofuses that charge forward.

Develop some power, really strong hooks, overhands, uppercuts, knees, elbows. Punish him with body shots, more likely to land and make his cardio/wrestling weaker. Then go for the headshot KO.
 
Pretty much a pay day, with a hope that he can catch Khabib with a punch.

But we Con'er doesn't have the power, strength, or stamina to last against Khabib.
 
Hit him on the face instead of fearing the takedown and try to defend them
 
No version of Conor beats Khabib.
He won't even cut to 155 for his come-back fight. That's how much he knows it.
Conor will campaign hard for that re-match but it's just about money for him.
I think it will happen too, because the Nurmagamedovs are a family business.
It won't be Conor's next fight but it will be the fight after (especially if it lines up as the last fight on Khabibs UFC contract.)
 
He is looking as high a pay day as possible, before he is sent to prison for 7-10 years!
 
If conor goes for the kill and pressures he can win. Khabib takedowns suck without the cage and even conor stuffed some of them. That being said it's still a losing matchup

Conor is a dangerous, very accurate, powerful striker, so he can obviously KO Khabib. That is how he can win.

However, Conor is a very big FW, while Khabib is a very big LW, so he will be tougher to put away, and will probably just outgrapple Conor again.

With the Cowboy fight, he'll have more WW fights than LW fights.

yeah I was there live tons of ppl that flew down for Ireland and just Conor fans from the states

section packed with them and all night were going on about how Conor would win (myself included)

but the second he got in that cage for the stare down everyone changed their tune

he looked shook as fuck

love Conor but hope cerrone wins so we don’t have to deal with a BS khabib rematch and Justin getting screwed
