What effect does the LW title actually have on Conor's drawing ability?

Say he is stripped...

Is there anyone who would NOT watch his comeback fight simply because he's not carrying a belt with him into the cage?

Thoughts?

zero impact, if anything the delay will increase his draw power among casuals

He will be fighting for a belt regardless so it might make people more interested if they go with the narrative he's going back to fight a dominant champ for the belt he never lost.

If he gets stripped, the only fights where he would draw a big crowd would be:

McGregor vs. Diaz III

McGregor vs. Khabib/Tony for the belt

Other than that, I really can't say. It's gotten to the point where even his most loyal fans are getting tired of his bullshit.

A lot of casuals would not watch LW title fights if Conor is not the champ. Conor would definitely headline over the real LW champ in case he fought someone else with or without having the belt.

If he fights for the belt it won't matter that he's the contender. Might even be better since people like challengers.

lol you're delusional. Conor vs anyone in the UFC would be minimum 750k ppv buys. absolute minimum

The guy is not fighting in the UFC for anything less then 50 mil , he just made more then the entire UFC roster in a boxing match , everyone is smoking some good shit if they think he is going to be fighting for 2-5 mil or w/e he was making before .

depends how good he's been with his money. It's possible UFC is partially waiting on him for that reason

Good question. UFC can even spin his comeback into something like “he never lost his titles, but had them taken away. Now he’s back, and he wants revenge!!! But standing across from him is a one-in-a-lifetime world-class monster! Face Tha Pain!!! $99.95”

Literally none. No matter what they do to him I will know he is the champ. He can ceremoniously flush his belt down the toilet and I will still know he’s the champ

It has absolutely zero effect.

Sounds like wishful thinking. At the point, Conor can draw 1mil minimum against anyone.
