I know he's been close to being cut before, but that Berger loss wasn't a fight he was supposed to lose. Who should he fight next? Personally I think he should wait for Cerrone win or lose, that's a fight I always wanted to see. Any names outside the top 10 he should go up against?

Damn right he should fight Cerrone.

    Or Diaz.

Or Rory if he doesn't jump ship.

They will probably give him an even more winnable fight than Ellenberger was supposed to be. Doubt they will cut him because he is a just bleed guy and those kind of fighters give Dana wood. Unfortunately they get more chances than a wrestler or BJJ fighter do.

I'm sort of glad he's done... I'm so sick of the wanna-be tough guy persona he's deluded himself with

Cerrone would destroy him. It's not a popular opinion around here because he's a sherdog favorite but Brown is overrated.

prelims for now. He has to work his way back up the ranks. He has been losing to top 10 talent its not like he is losing to low level guys. Give him a chance to make it back to the top 10 and get some big fights again. Jake used to be a top 10 guy, its a bad loss but its not like he lost to some guy they brought in from a small org.

Why is everyone assuming that Cerrone's move to WW is permanent? Donald is going to find out very quickly against Story that he doesn't belong against the killers of that division. Cerrone vs Brown is a fun fight but what would be the point? Cerrone still wants a belt before retiring I would assume.

Im a fan of Matt myself but I cant deny the fact that he overachieved in the UFC. A bit like Boestch a few years ago, both came close to title shots but truth is, they never were among the top 10 most talented fighters of their div, they simply enjoyed key wins and great momentum. However, Matt has been in great fights and I hope he gets another chance, put him vs a fringe top 15 brawler guy and it should be a great fight.

His fights are fun enough that the UFC will probably keep him around as long as they can justify it. I'd like to see Tarec-Brown.

Honestly, I think he might even have trouble with some of the guys in Bellator.. Koreshkov and Michael Page would annihilate him, Lima would probably beat him, Daley would have a puncher's chance, it's not looking good for Brown atm. I like the Ponzi idea tho, that might be close to where they wanna go with him next.

There's always the Lawler rematch if Lawler doesn't fight Diaz. It's not as if the first fight wasn't entertaining.

I don't see much shitting on him. The guy is 20-15 in his career, he's just not what people make him out to be.

Personally I think we should be praising the birth of a new unbeatable fighter, "Back against the wall Ellenberger".

Anyway, he was def supposed to win that fight but a lot of people like watching him so he should stick around for a little while longer
