What does it take for a judge to get fired?

I'm asking genuinely. Adalaide Byrd is objectively just an absolutely terrible judge, but she keeps getting work. Last night, Frankie lost the fight (and I think that's fair, I agree that Aldo won), but scoring the fifth round to Aldo is like declaring that you either know nothing about the sport, that you weren't paying attention, or that you're involved in some kind of bullshit. I'm guessing the first one is the case. Her track record has been absolutely terrible. I don't understand how this is allowed to continue. Wht is happening?

I thought that round 5 was barely Edgar's, but I could see how somebody could score it for Aldo. Nbd, really.

The fifth round was the round Rogan started getting very vocal for Frankie. I don't know what Edgar did that would win him that round unless you started judging the fight from Rogan's strange point of view. All those shots Rogan screamed about from Edgar were quickly countered and Aldo took the round with the last 10 seconds if it was a stale-mate to anyone.

Well, I have to disagree.
Round 1 and 2 were clearly for Aldo
3 and 5 could've gone either way
Edgar only got round 4, for sure.

The UFC should actively pursue these commissioners who are ruining the sport. Keith Keizer is the skunk haired posterboy...The UFC shouldnt have to put up with incompetence, but no one has to answer. I mean, how do you make the government do something? It is corrupt and run by special interests, and back room deals. If they literally fucked up every fight for 10 cards straight, Keizer would just make excuses...he could give a fuck if the whole world considers his judges and refs the equivalent of circus clowns.

People love to complain about the judges. You should never, ever second guess them on a CLOSE round.

1. Do they always have monitors to watch for when the action is on the other side of the cage?
2. If they do have a monitor, is it the same feed we see on television?

They might not be seeing the same exact fight we are.

So ya, Bird is a terrible judge, but Aldo likely did win round 5. Sounds like you are crazy to get so mad when Edgar really did nothing to clearly win the round, what fight were you watching? Or you are likely clueless,,,this isnt point fighting, Aldo KEPT THE FIGHT ON HIS FEET, Frankie couldnt take him down..Aldo landed the cleaner, MORE EFFECTIVE strikes, go look at unified rules and cry less. Again I cant stress, Edgar wanted this on ground. Controlling where fght takes place, and controlling the octagon is huge. Aldo did both these, and landed better strikes all round.

Not sure if she judged the Rashad fight but those judges should be fired. Rashad CLEARLY won that fight. And I am not a Rashad fan one bit. And yes, Frankie won too.
