What does Holly losing 3 fights after beating Ronda say about Ronda?

Did Holly just crap out or is she just where she is anyway and Ronda was always over-rated?

I think Ronda's previous opponents just folded under the pressure and how hyped she was. Everyone bought in to the hype, every one of us, even Ronda herself

Holly was calm, cool and collected - nobody was like that when facing Ronda before. Holly's Fedor like attitude actually broke Ronda and she freaked out at the weigh ins etc

@Jermei agrees with me

Ronda was feared for good reason. She dislocated Meisha's arm and thrashed everyone in her path, did every PR interview possible, burned out and then hit a wall. Also, styles make fights and Holly and Nunes both have great stand up. Ronda was legit. Fuck the haters, Clippy.

I think Holly had the night of her life on the same the night that Ronda had a bad night. I think Ronda is the better fighter and just had a bad night against Holm. The problem is that loss ruined Ronda mentally and she will never be the same fighter again.

It speaks more to Holly being a mediocre fighter who couldn't even defend her title.

I don't think she had a bad night.

Ronda's game plan has always been takedown / judo flip to armbar

This was completely nullified by Holly's boxing, the biggest hole in Ronda's game and Holly has experience in it.

Ronda never wins, even on Ronda's best day and Holly's worst.

Ronda's standup is egregiously bad

Ronda is a great grappler . She has no business getting in exchanges. She caught a couple other horrendous fighters zuffa tells you are great and she thinks she's a puncher.
This happens not only in MMA but when a boxer with not much power gets some kos. They believe too.much in their power.

If I go by what cyborg can do in a fight the other girls from 135_145 are the JV squad.
It's pretty painful to watch.

Ronda is the most one dimensional fighter since zuffa bought the UFC. She has literally nothing but judo throw to armbars. The fact that she has tko victories just shows hiw fucking awful WMMA really is

It says Holly had the fight of her life again Ronda.

Holm had the perfect style for neutralizing Rousey and it happened at the peak of Ronda's overconfidence. Ronda played perfectly into the role of bull against matador.

I like Holm, but her ability to adjust during fights is awful. I believe she thinks that her fights are only won and lost in the gym and relies too much on her training, even if it's not working. I honestly don't know how you solve that problem, but I hope she figures it out soon. The girl a friggin warrior with a nice personality. It'd be a shame to lose her.

We all know Ronda beat up cans and that the hype machine disguised that she sucked. No need to start another thread about it.

She certainly could beat Holly. If Meisha can take down and submit her, then Ronda definitely could do the same. While that finish was a Hail Mary, Meisha had Holly down and worked her for the whole second round. If Ronda fought smart, I would actually favor her to win. She ran straight into counter after counter that night with no kind of setup.

Ronda's losses speak to her flaws. She's a great ground fighter. And a fish out of water against a competent striker. Her striking truly never evolved very far, even though she has some natural power. Defensively and technically she's pretty rudimentary on the feet.
