Juan Ramone - Livin Lavish ( OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO )

    Jungle Bee - Dripping Kool-Aid

This is an example of how sad rap has gotten, crap lyrics that anyone on Sherdog can write while drunk on the crapper using an iPad

As someone who was born in the early 80's and came of age in the mid-to-late 90's, I agree.

    That is garbage.

I like that first beat though.

1st song... Shitty tempo version of the 2 Live Crew. I'd rather just blast The Fuck Shop.

2nd song... A little better but still kind of sounds like that white dude in school that thinks he's going to be a rapper in grade 11 or so.

Never mind Pac and NWA. This stuff makes me miss The Fat Boys and Snow.

All new rap uses a 3 syllable melody repeated over and over with a 4 syllable line throw in at the end every once in a while.

    Gucci what
    In da club
    On the what
    Gucci club

    Girl know what
    To da front
    Gucci club
    You know it was

The FUCK are you people listening to?

they all sound the same no originality any more or talent it is a by product of not having to battle rap or gain experience before getting on a major label rappers like eminem had to pay dues in battle rap and in the underground honing his writing and rapping.

Most rap is marketed to 12 to 18 year olds. It is market online so it doesn't have to be good music just needs a gimmick to go viral

Here is a new song I enjoy. No face tattoos, no colored hair, no gimmicky hook or song title so you probably have never heard of it

Why are hip hop and rap artists so infatuated with designer clothes and jewellery?

I've just seen the video trending on youtube of Drake bragging about wearing a million dollars worth of clothes... I don't understand how people can be that empty and hollow that they feel like buying expensive goods makes them important.

Admittedly, I know nothing about hip hop/rap music...but the culture surrounding it seems to be poisonous.

Dude sounds old school westcoast style, like Eazy E beat. He wont click because he aint hip to the mumble rap and repetitive words.

Xanax makes it too hard to enunciate more than three syllables. We won't get any good rap music until smoking crack is back in style.

The beats have gotten high tech as fuck, so many good beats out there now. The lyrics and lyricism, unfortunately, has gone back to some fucking elementary shit.

I think this new wave actually started with Lil Wayne, he took the lean and opiate culture of Houston and the Gulf Coast, and spread it to the masses. All these new rappers sound like their leanin hard slurring and shit.
He also kicked off the whole face tattoos and mixing white or rock culture into it, ie skinny jeans and skateboards and dressing like an old ass rock star lol.
