What Do you think of the royce gracie gym?

I personally think 170 is a lot for three days a week.

God damn that's expensive! The place I'm going to be going to charges only 140 a week and that is for brazilian jiu-jitsu under a 4th degree and former world champion (did Royce EVER win the Mundials?) and for judo under a 4th dan. Plus they offer classes seven days a week, mornings and evenings both.

You're getting ripped off my friend IMO.

Its 170 a month not a week.

Yeah, that sounds expensive. I'm paying around $80 a month ($100 if you spread testing and membership costs out). Classes are available 6 days a week, with lunch time classes twice a week.

Well, my gym, Griffonrawl Ohio, is only about $100 a month for unlimited classes in BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing, MMA, Judo, and wrestling. The gym has a large matted area plus a boxing ring and a cage along with tons of punching/kicking bags and weight gear. The atmosphere is excellent with many very talented fighters who are always willing to help out with new guys. All in all, I believe a gym should feel like a second home.

Today was my first day and i dont know it was great. But theres only one instructor Which is Sam Marcellini. And its only MOnday,Wednesday, and Friday. The price is 170 i think. Im currently on the free 10 day trial. And i want you guys to tell me what a good training center has. Thanks! Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy - Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Headquarters

Is This Rorion's Gracie Jiu Jitsu? Because that's what your link points to.

Rocye Gracie Jiu Jitsu is a separate network. (they used to be together)

All the ones listed their including Moreno Valley are Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academies (Rorion Gracie) under my understanding.

Rocye Gracie Jiu Jitsu academis are a separate group.

Rorion's Gyms aren't bad. Rorion just gave out his first blackbelts this year (took them 15 years to get them), so his blackbelts should be quality if Roroin awarded them. On the down side it may take you 15 years to get your blackbelt.

Your kidding me?:icon_surp

I was there today and it was only an hour. It just left me wanting more and i dont know. The instructor is Sam Marcellini.

I'm a litte confused at what you are looking for in this post but I am guessing you are looking for a good school to train in the Moreno Valley area. I would recommend United BJJ which just opened a new location off of Day St by Toys R Us. All classes are taught by Rommel Dunbar who is a 3 time world champion and is a very technical instructor. To my knowledge, Sam Marcellini doesn't compete and is not well known in the SoCal BJJ community. Rommel Dunbar puts on the largest independent tournament every November, The California Classic.

And the guy that didnt know nothing subbmitted the kid like nothing. And the kid had been going on that same location for a month. Doesnt that tell me something? :icon_sad:
