For me I think I knew something was wrong when he fought Rampage. People started calling him fake etc.

It has just been going downhill from then.

Coming out with the belt to that last presser and the way he acted told me he had not changed one bit.

I think there is something seriously wrong with this guy. But I'm no psychologist, so I have no clue what.

Sure. It's bigger than what you mentioned. He and his brother along with many other athletes have been pampered, catered with sense of entitlement since they were young, because of athletic ability. Couple that with maturity issues as some men never fully mature until late 20's early 30's and I this is what you have. We've seen many other athletes with similar problems in other sports.

He didnt feel enough acceptance and love from his father when he was a child. I have always said it, its the reason behind all of his problems.

He's too good to need discipline. He can do coke and still whoop Daniel Cormier's ass in a cage fight.

He just has a huge ego, and he's been wildly successful at one thing in life happens to be something that pays him a lot and makes him famous.

He'll probably be like that until things get really bad for him.

I don't know exactly? He certainly appears to of come from a good family and background of support. I don't think he had some horrible childhood where he was not taught proper values and respect. Maybe it has just been the fame and the money, his ego got out of control and the bad decisions started happening.

Had bad habits in his youth and having trouble transitioning into adulthood.

Look at Tyson, just becoming a star and getting rich didn't change him. Iron Mike got his sh*t straight once he gave up boxing and being in the limelight.

Jones will eventually get it together, just don't know when.

Narcissistic Personality disorder? I'm no groundhog expert, but it seems to be something like that...? I'd love to hear what the rest of you think.

I think the reason he continually does destructive, dumb shit is that he is never actually held accountable for his actions. He knows he can do whatever he wants and skate.

But eventually that shit will catch up to you, no matter how slick, or how rich you are, if you continue to be a fuck up and don't learn from your mistakes.

Some people just can't accept to play by rules made by others or to play this game we all play in our daily lives.
It is all a matter of maturity, ambition and humility. He's got to accept things as they are and build something for himself regardless of what the others are doing.

He's been too special to REALLY fail his whole life at his athletic pursuits .... Until he started failing on the sidelines of those athletic pursuits and now his constant sideline fails are barring him from his athletic greatness

He's a spoiled child in a man's body

Possible - Yea, I think there's a few things in play. Maturity issues etc...

My diagnosis as well. And as TS mentioned, it became evident especially in his fight against Rampage. When during the stare down at the weigh in he tried that "look past my opponent" bs and Rampage clowned him by turning his back and pointing to the crowd with a smile. Jones later whined that he felt like Rampage was disrespectful by doing that...

YEs...the guy who "Looks beyond" each opponent felt disrespected when his opponent beat him at his own game? Definitely some NPD going on there.

Since then I can rattle off a loooooooong list of other pieces of evidence to support that diagnosis.

He's 28 and considered one of the toughest guys on the planet. Ego, is probably the right word.

And for what it's worth, i thought him coming out with the belt was pretty cool and a nice little piece of promotional work.

Hold on, i forgot this is Sherdog soo, he did cocaine once and got caught therefore he is forever a degenerate monster.
