I always wondered in high profile fights what goes on in a fighter's mind when they realize they are going to lose. I am not talking about decision losses, moreso tko's.

I imagine Ronda Rousey going "This can't be it..." or Daniel Cormier saying "please god no"

    thoughts?

You don't really realize your getting kod when it's something like the rousey ko. It's just you fighting then nothing.

Ones where it's a tko flurry of punches beat down, yeah it's more like "fuck fuck fuck, I have to do something this can't be the end"

Well when Ronda came to and was struggling with Herb she screamed "NO!" so it's probably something like that

There's no time to think or analyze in flurries.
You're either dodging, parrying, blocking, countering, or striking.
Something will slip through when you dont see it and it's all lights out for you.

Yeah that's always been my understanding, basically you build up your response in training to the point its unthinking.

As someone who has been both KO'd and choked out in sparring I can say it was just simply and painlessly lights out. You then wake up not usually knowing where you are or what happened

What goes through a fighter's mind? The force from someone's fist.
