Whenever a fighter is brutally KO'ed or injured like tonight, they don't show the fighters on camera.

I don't like us being shielded from what we are paying for. Not in the sense that i like seeing the hurt fighter, more in the sense that i want people to know what they are supporting.

edit: I agree with those in this thread that mentioned how the fighters wouldnt wanna be shown KO'ed, so my opinion is changed. Whatever the fighters want I support.

The right thing always if they are out cold. Stuff like this tho, I can see why they didn't show a guy writhing in pain on network TV, but on ppv they usually bring the gore. A LA silvas leg.

Agreed. This was on a FOX channel, the network that puts out fake news, so that might be the reason.

Well, we at Sherdog have a long record of respectfulness toward downed fighters and any awkwardness of facial expression or body posture that comes with being beaten unconscious.

I somewhat agree with them not showing fighters in these situations, but I also sympathize with your rational. If I was a fighter I wouldn't want the world to see me out of it, if I was fox, I wouldn't want to broadcast that, and if I was the UFC, I wouldn't want people to see what fighters go through for a couple thousand dollars and a free rental T-shirt. As an ignorant fan, maybe I too don't want to see the agony behind my entertainment, but as a human being, I do somewhat want to be aware of the sacrifice made. All the best to Charles, I'm a big fan and hope to see him make a complete recovery.

Doesn't bother me at all. If someone was to die or have a severe injury, it would be considered courteous not to have vids of their limp body laying there.

When they panned over to Do Bronx for a few seconds, I legit thought he was dead. He wasn't moving at all, I thought he'd had a heart-attack. They don't show it, out of respect for the downed fighter.

Respeitar, e ficar bem, logo, Do Bronx.

Well they still show them getting injured or KO'd. If I can see it for a few seconds I dont mind if I dont see the rest of it. It probably looks pretty similar anyway. They could offer the extra footage as a fight pass bonus.

I didnt think about whether the fighter would wanna be seen like that, so i think I'm changing my opinion. It's cool not showing them.

If it were a PPV, they'd show a guy leaving the arena on his shield. On Fox Sports 1, that would just waste an opportunity to show another chicken commercial.

Respect of the fighter. Going in there in front of thousands only to be emberrases by awkward muscle tensing and its just bad looking for the fighter.

Hell I get embarrassed being sloppy drunk, or if I'm in the hospital any reason .

I don't get the respect argument.

So I'm allowed to watch Vitor stiffen folk and send them to the canvas like corpses, but I can't watch them lay on the floor gently.

It's about the fighting, not a morbid fascination with seeing an unconscious body.
