What do you think about Joe Rogan's theories on aliens in relation to humans?

From listening to Joe Rogan discuss aliens on his podcast, one of the major theories he proposes is that aliens are here to observe us, make sure we don't destroy each other or the planet. Almost like a guardian angel so to speak. In fact when people try to bring up aliens possibly being a major threat, Joe always pushes against it. I'm not really a fan of this theory, in fact I think Joe is pretty naive to assume that some higher advanced life form visiting a less advanced or less intelligent being couldn't possibly have some self serving motive, that could lead to destruction or suffering for the lesser being.

Where oh where might he have gotten that idea?

They have always used the proper amount of lubrication when probing so I don't think they are too malevolent.

Stop listening to Rogan, the man is half retarded.
His podcast hasn't been good in almost a decade.

Every assumption made about aliens is some form of projection...

Including Joe's, including the OP.

Joe assumes aliens are observing us the way we observe less intelligent organisms in a zoo.

You assume aliens want to harm us or are self-serving because that's the colonist mindset that Homo sapiens have. Aliens don't have to be anything like us. There's no reason to assume that (even if they exist) they gaf about us. The projection is knowing what we'd do if we found a technologically inferior planet and assuming another being would think or act just like us.

Joe is pretty naive to assume that some higher advanced life form visiting a less advanced or less intelligent being...

What proof is there that a lifeform outside of our planet is automatically smarter than us?

Full on retarded. Sometimes I am blown away that he is able to get guest on and it is clear he hasn't bothered to read their book/s. Then I remember he is chronically baked on weed and fried on DMT and it all makes sense.

It drives me crazy when he talks about how interesting humans are and how aliens would be really interested in us. Get over yourself a little. Who's to say their civilization or other places they've visited aren't a million times more interesting?

It used to be decent but Joe has become the people he supposedly hated years ago.
He has lost everything that made him unique, only to become a parody of himself.

It's not just a human or colonist mindset. It's what beings do in general, we compete for resources. What happens when ants and termites come across each other? How many species have gone extinct due to some invasive species outcompeting them for resources? And I think that any species that has developed the capability to travel to different solar systems and galaxies is going to have more intelligence, and possibly to a greater degree that they wouldn't even see us as a higher life form.

I've never been so high on Joe as person really. I mostly watch his show for his guests and because Joe is legitimately a good interviewer
