I'm not asking what you legally should do, I'm wondering what you actually do.

Working on the fuel system of a motorcycle that has a tank full of very old contaminated gas. It's like 3-4 gallons.

I know you're "supposed" to drive it to a waste facility that's 30 miles away and probably only open 2 hours in the middle of a workday, but I know most people don't really do that shit.

In b4 "nice try, EPA"

How old is it?

I've kept gas as long as 2.5 years when its either mixed with race gas or has stabilizer in it.

The bike ran.

(Its drained out of the carbs and only held in the tank.)

shoot it with a bottle rocket like Joe Dirt?

Start a bonfire

Better yet, make a big pyre type bonfire... With a jerrycan of the old gas in the middle on the bottom. Light it on the outside, watch it slowly light up and then...

Probably best not to do it in a dry season and best to hide behind something while the fire picks up.

Good for killing ants nests. Don't need to light it just pour it in

I filter it through a couple coffee filters, add stabilizer, then I save it to run through a gas lantern or heater.

What do you do with your used motor oil? It seems like a guy working on a fuel system likely has changed his own oil and needed to cross this bridge before.

How old? You can dilute it with a high octane gas and add in a stabilizer but really...just go dispose of it

The auto parts stores take used oil but not gas

It's probably 3-4 years old. The tank has rust so the gas is contaminated with it, but I guess I could try to filter it out.
