Champion that has somewhat close title defenses but always brutally finishes. Or Champion that doesnt finish often but doesnt lay n pray but is completely dominant. My pick is the first. Closer usually means entertaining PLUS a brutal finish.
It's really hard to say. The obvious answer is to route for the champ that goes for the brutal finishes, but it depends on the opponent too. You can still watch someone like GSP "control da riddum" and appreciate his game.
I prefer a champion to fight #1 contenders and try his damndest to finish every fighter put in front of him. Nothing more.
I prefer #2. To me it seems more Anderson Silva-esque. There's never a question or doubt about his dominance or legacy.
AS was the most entertaining fighter this young sport has seen. His fights became a spectacle around Maia/Sonnen 1. It was all about "what crazy shit is this guy going to do this time?"
Have to agree with the second reply. I don't care if a fighter finishes a fight or not, as long as it's fun to watch.
