What do people make of Jon Jones's comments on Ronda

In his interview with Jon, Ariel asked him if other fighters reached out to him and offered their support and Jon specifically mentioned Ronda and Conor. It seems Ronda was particularly forthcoming with offers to use her beach house if he needed to get away from things.

Seems a rather admirable thing to have done to me. Not such a terrible person after all?

Ronda isn't nearly as horrible as people on this board make her out to be. Any rational person realizes that. She's not the greatest fighter the world has or ever will see. She's not once ever. She was not the most humble champion in the world. But she's not killing babies and kicking old people down icy stairs for fun, either. She's a human with flaws like the rest of us; people just like to go overboard.

But GL with this thread, bro.

This doesn't take away from her acting like a complete psycho chick that made upbsome beef, didn't shake hands, hit Holly after the Bell, and got the most karmaic type of beating a champ has ever received.

It's not that I want people to like Ronda. And I have enjoyed the shoop thread. But the relentless criticism of her, when she was probably just trying to put bums in seats and sell more PPVs when she did what she did at the weigh ins doesn't seem to me to be merited.

I was just pleasantly surprised that 2 people who are thought to be obnoxious characters (McGregor much less so) seem to actually be decent enough people behind it all.
 
i thought it was odd because jon trains with holly. who knows what jon may have shared with holly about ronda that would have worked to holly's advantage. regardless, it didn't seem to make any difference now with the way that holly destroyed ronda.

Nobody is all good or all bad, except in cartoons. Shitty people do normal or even nice things and good people sometimes do things they will regret.

You can still dislike someone even if they do good things on occasion.

That's how it works when you sell fights with your big mouth, when you lose, people get vindictive. Ronda being a woman probably doesn't help.

Honda's a sucka mc for the weigh in shenanigans. How dare she tell the world Holly is fake. My gf is a huge Honda fan and after the weigh in act she started rooting for Holly. My gf rooted for Holly a little more when the Honda didn't touch gloves and a little more when she got that late hit after the bell.

LOL she wouldn't be taking so much heat if she hadn't gone into hiding now people are pulling out the poor Ronda cards. Talk made smack you gotta own it. Curious to see how Conor does it more than likely he will own it not hide.

She was definitely unlikable and a bit of a jerk, but yea definitely not evil. Don't really need to be evil for people to not like you though and want you to lose.
