Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

most cops I've interacted with are fairly low intelligence. I'm not sure why we keep such low standards, policing and dealing with people in the situations they do is challenging work and requires a lot of quick, on your feet thinking. I'd say raise standards, pay, and training across the board, let's get a higher quality of person as police officers. Then again I don't know how that happens, or if enough people even care.

They literally turn away high functioning intelligent people with the capacity for free thinking and reasoning. They hire low IQ goons.

Why can this clown (who needed to have the address pointed out to him after looking three times at a card that had probably <200 characters) not understand that the drivers license address wouldn't match a business address?
He knew, he was just being a d*ck on purpose. Same as this guy:

Just the sheer level of childish disrespect, from calling him Carlton to the suggestion that because he has nice things he's up to no good. This entire conversation was the Cop taking the preconceived position that this dude was guilty of something and needed to prove his innocence.

Here's another one of a Cop being an absolute d*ckhead to an elderly Veteran, talking to him like he's an idiot and making fun of him being disabled. And the worst part, IMO, is the other Deputy who isnt a d*ck reveleas that hes just a different flavor of d*ck when the guy's wife tells him that she doesnt appreciate the Big D*ck Deputy making fun of her husband and he glasights her by saying she just isnt understanding how the guy is talking to her husband:

When Cops hold you on the side of the road, you've done literally nothing wrong, and they make you prove you're innocent in roadside Court:

She calls him "stimmed-out"...what the f*ck does that mean? Then she accuses him of getting agitated because she is accusing him of sh*t he didnt do. She even doesnt argue that he passed the sobriety tests. She has decided he's a drug addict, and is going to force him to prove he's not.

Poor guy just wanted to go to his daughter's graduation.

EDIT:

I hadn't watched the last bit, f*ck this Cop makes me sick. She says he's sweaty. Hes a fat diabetic who works 15's. She says he has mood swings, they're tentatively ruining his life as he drives for work and they're hitting him with a DWI. By the end she told him she felt he was over-taking his Adderall.

So now, in the US, you can be prescribed medication, someone can say you did something weird, and Cops can accuse you of being a drug addict with your own medication. She sounds, at the end, like she just enjoyed stopping him from going to the graduation. She likes the power.

Here’s one where a cop fucked up. Man repeatedly attacks the cop along side a fast moving highway-probably one of the most dangerous places to have a suspect fight with the officer. He tried to tase him but it failed and he kept throwing punches and walking the officers down saying he will kill him(the cop) officer finally gets him down and handcuffed but the video ends there and I ant find a story stating whether he loved or died, however, the shitbag bootlickers are out in force e maiming the officer went too far and turned the incident into a street fight. This officer would have been justified shooting this man per graham v Connor.

They can't extend a stop. He should sue.

Why did you post this here? That cop did a good job.

Nope, he did not do what he was trained to do and he put his life in great peril all because he was too afraid to shoot and I guarantee thoughts of “I have to shoot a black man-they’ll crucify me. He lucked out and got a decent result, but according to twitter, the guy died off camera. I haven’t been able to find a legit news story on it. This type of stuff where the officer is afraid to engage properly makes me almost as mad as dirty cops

I might respectfully disagree in assuming he had this level of mindfulness while fighting for his life. I could be wrong though

I know I have had similar situations where they thought ran through my head, and this was back in 2005.! A black guy smoked pcp, got naked in the middle of winter, and attacked an 86 year old white guy, knocking him to the street and breaking his hip. Then, we turn the corner and see all of this and he picks up a street brick and holds it above his head like he is going to smash the old man. I draw my weapon and hear shouting. The black dudes family showed up and are screaming at him and we are trying to get him to put the rock down and he keeps cocking it back. I remember thinking that if he does that again, I am going to have to squeeze the trigger and kill a black male in front of his family and I knew a shit storm would come of it. He cocked his hand back and turned and was oddly cocking his head looking at the old man crying on the sidewalk. I put some pressure on the 14 lb trigger just a bit, took a breath and then my partner steps into my line of sight so he could get a shot. Then, he tosses the brick into the street and we pounced and fought him.

Trust me, it went through that cops head

He should have tased the shit out of him early, then escalated from there if he couldn't restrain him. While backup was already called. We can all agree that perp was out of control.

I was low key waiting for the guy to get splattered.

Oh, I agree. He should have tased him, sprayed him, then if necessary, shoot him. I have fought people next to a busy highway and it was one of the scariest situations I have ever been in.

Ha, Clever phrase! “ Like a slave”. Because hes black and so were the race of people we enslaved.

No, you fucking retard.

It's a direct quote from the movie "Friday".

Where one of the main characters is running down the street, half naked, high as fuck, and ends up recalling the incident using that exact phrase.

It must be a full time job for you to be offended on everyone else's behalf.
