What did Jones do in round 4 and 5?

What did Jones actually do in the last 2 rounds to give credibility to the claims that he ‘won the war’ and ‘was all over Reyes in the 5th’? Reyes was firing back at the end of the round and Jones didn’t exactly whoop Reyes’ ass. Jones even got tagged pretty good in the 4th. Reyes was tired but at no point did he look in danger of getting stopped.

This isn’t a situation similar to the Yoel - Whittaker 2 fight where Yoel severely damaged Whittaker but ended up losing on points. Yoel won that war despite not officially winning the bout. The Jones vs Reyes fight was nothing like this. Jones walks forward more late on and tries to grapple and isn’t very successful, but he apparently won the war.

I’m not arguing that Jones didn’t win the last 2 rounds. I’m trying to understand the narrative that Jon “won the war”. Well how so?

Reyes was gassed and got outworked.. He really tried to put Jones away in the first 3. Jones not sure he can be put away..

That’s winning the war though? Jones was the guy who was in more danger in that fight.

It's the 10 point must system though, and I don't think anyone is arguing Jones didn't win those rounds.

Chased Reyes around and had the time not ran out he wouldve made him beg for mercy. Them athletes are so good at running but Jones is a Lion there is no escaping him without time limits

No I have no problem with people believing Jones won the championship rounds. There is a narrative that Jones won the war. Well what did he exactly do? He did better in the last two rounds and Reyes was tired, but Reyes was never in danger. Some people will flat out tell you that Reyes winning the first 3 rounds doesn’t matter because Jon had more energy in the last 2 rounds and walked forward more.

When you say "Reyes was gassed and got outworked" do you mean in the 4th and 5th or are you referring to the entire fight? Because Reyes clearly outworked Jones for the first 3 rounds. He avoided Jon's "Pressure" which had no attacks of any consequence.

To answer the OP Jon outstruck Reyes in the 4th and 5th and landed 1 TD in each round. There was no control or damage landed but he did get the TD. Jon got 2 rounds by outstriking and Reyes SHOULD have gotten the first 3.

Jones didn't really do much. Its the same as rounds 123 expect Reyes was gassed as fuck and stopped firing as much. He was running 90% of the time. Running and not firing as much. Jones didn't win because he changed his game plan. Reyes lost because he stopped trying. Jones didn't win rounds 4-5. Reyes lost 4-5.

Jones fought very smart the last 2 round using his wrestling, even tho he wasn't able to get takedowns. Reyes spent so much energy defending them, his offense was reduced greatly and jon did a great job hitting Reyes just after a failed takedown.

I get that. I think my title might be confusing people.

Jones had more success in the last 2 rounds and I did score them both for him watching live. But I’m asking this question to try to ascertain how Jones apparently won the war. What did he do that was so special and dangerous in the championship rounds to give credibility to the claims that he won the war?

Not really. He was never hurt. Jones is at home under fire. Large sequences of the fight Reyes is loading up and landing on arms with Jones slipping punches..

Imo Rayes won it. I thought like it right afetr fight and I think it now.
Only thinkg that makes some sense and its not coming out of rules that You HAVE to beat champion spectacualry or finish him.
If We go total tehnical rule viem of a fight. Reyes won clearly.
