Someone please explain it to me because I don't see what Conor's seeing?

- Not gas? Yeah, good look with that at Nate's pace when Conor's obviously not a 5 rd fighter and Nate can go 10. Especially if he get's tagged by the bigger boxer.

- Use legkicks and point fight? Never been Conor's style, can't see him pull that off. It seems to be the one way to beat the Diaz bros in a stand up fight though.

- Grapple? Yeah right...

This feels like one of the most one sided matchups style wise on paper. What is Conor expecting to do this time around? Serious question, cause I don't know...

Not get punched in the face really hard.

Have a ground game.

Not hit Diaz as hard or as much as before.

idk he could put nate away if he fights smart. He needs to pace himself and dont go for the finish, just pepper him and move out. He needs to fight an Edgar type of fight or else he will blow his load and get finished.

Engage in a technical battle with Nate, waiting for a perfectly timed counter-strike to rock / KO Nate. It might work for him and it might not, but if he engages in a brawl with Diaz, he's getting smoked like a fat joint.

Honestly, I think going for that KO might have been his best option last time. It might be the best option again. Point fighting with Nate who will have a full camp this time around will be a hell of a task.

With mostly boxing, I'm not sure he'll be able to learn how to do a Carlos Condit performance in 3 months. Very different bases between Conor and Condit. Counter KO would be my guess on Conor's part.

I think that the main problem in their first fight was that rear naked choke.

He should also work on taking a good punch.

He should also plan on pacing himself...But of course that will leave him open to more punches.

Well, Condit leg kicks wasn't really great or anything in his fight with Nick. It was actually just to score points. Not Conor style yes, but he has the footwork when he doesn't fight too agressive, and can do the same thing. Just don't think he would do it, but he can.

But there are a lot of things he can do better, not only kicks. His footwork wasn't there in the fight. He fought like someone he said he doesn't, which is, get hit and hit the dude that hit you. His kicks which he uses to set up his punches wasn't there as well. And of course the cardio.

He fought Nate fight. A street fight. Nate will never lost one like that, because of his cardio and chin, but there are many ways to beat him, that's why he will never be champ. Nick as well.

Add kicks and slow the fight down. The plan to beat a Diaz has been out forever. I just don't see Conor wanting to put on a boring fight. So he'll want to stand and trade more. Working on cardio, boxing, and ground game in the matter of months won't be a complete 180 success. There's only so much you can learn and adapt to in that time span. Conor will be better, but then again so will Nate.

One thing that seems to be flying under the radar is the lack of conversation of how Conor got everything he wanted at the end of all this. He said he didn't want much media. He wanted to focus on training, coming off a loss. He threw a tantrum on Twitter, got kicked off of 200. He then got put on 202, hasn't been doing media this entire time, and as far as I know, he's training in silence. So all this talk that UFC owns him, he got the fight he wanted, got to train under his conditions, and avoided the public light unless wanted during this whole process.

Still most talked about guy with all this Floyd/Nate controversy in between.

He was doing pretty well in portions of their first fight, mostly the 1st round if I recall. He beat Nate to the punch a few times and looked much quicker on his feet, so if he can avoid falling apart like he did in round two, he's got a shot. Not a Conor fan by any means, but people seem to only remember the finish in that fight.

All that said, I still don't necessarily favor Conor.

Conor is not going to beat a mentally and physically prepared Diaz.

I like Conor but sorry, it just aint happening. It's a tough reality that I've only recently came to terms with.

As Bisping just showed, anyone can get KO'd in MMA.

I think Conor was legitimately shocked that he kept hitting Diaz cleanly and it just didn't put him down.

So... as others have said - better pace, more varied attack, and keep the distance.

Of course, that is all easier said then done. All of the above requires very specific training and I don't think anyone knows if Conor is capable of that or not.

Conor's job this fight is to be entertaining, put on a good show, cash a bigger check and go home.

After a full camp, Nate is going to murk him.

I firmly believe we will see a different McGregor more akin to the one we saw in the Porrier / Holloway fights. Well rounded and tactical. Watching his older UFC fights it's a shame he started to really lean on his hype and desire to "put on a performance".

I think the loss was the best thing to happen to him and I feel much more confident in this fight then in the first go around. In and out, work on Diaz's lead leg - at least make him think about it - and get back to his beautiful counters. This fight is going to go a few rounds but I can actually see Conor putting Diaz away.
