What can you tell me about Torrance, CA?

I'm used to making a lot more but it's usually as a contractor. You make more as a contractor and get a lot of tax free pay but you don't get benefits. Robinson is offering benefits and a permanent slot. But like I said, I don't wanna be poor when I get there. I'm still mulling it over. I might do it.

If money is the main factor that is stopping you I say apply for it and ask for above the pay range. Sell yourself. Let them know your current salary in relation to the cost of living compared to what they have to offer in that location. I have no idea on the demand of the type of job you do, but if you're confident you are worth the money then prove it to them and you never know what they will say. I know several people that shoot for a higher salary and actually get it. Especially worth it when you have nothing to lose. Maybe you can get $35/hr, which is still not high, but much more doable for that area.

Higher than normal cost of living kind of on the higher end, apartment dwellers try to invade our good city, lots of white people, city is fairly rich due to the oil company. $19-25 an hour, might as well live in the surrounding cities like Gardena or Lawndale, you have no business living here with that sort of income.

Torrance is a upper middle class area, not like most of LA major, it's a great area if you've got the money...... and you dont.

Anything under 30 an hour is murder in LA county unless you have roomies IMO.

That's going to be hard to live on. Also if you're outside the city be prepared for LA traffic to kick your ass.

Torrance PD is old school as fuck too. Make their boots wear long sleeves and ties, sit in the car and eat a sack lunch while their FTOs eat in the restaurant.

You know, I’m always curious about California. Like the moderate temperatures do sound enticing, but it’s hard to leave my home state in Virginia. I got 4 seasons here, no tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes, or landslides. There is hurricane and tornado leftovers, but nothing ever really severe. There’s mountains out west, the beach to the east, DC to the north, and country pretty much half the state. Heh. Shit, I guess I do love it here.

Dude....I've been to Virginia and I've lived in Cali. GO TO CALI

Stay out of my state, Agent Mulder's Hair. If you move here, I'm going to give you aids.

Lot's of beaner chicks.....they still believe.

Apparently these "beaner chicks" don't believe in you, because you had to travel halfway around the world to find someone desperate enough to touch your sadness [no offense]

For that type of money you'll be able to afford to live in the 909 and commute, unless you want 3 roommates.

My cousin moved there and got shot and killed during a drivebye. He was telling me about it last week when I saw him.

Tell them you'll only take the job if you get to fly the helicopter to and from work. Otherwise the traffic will have you slitting your wrists in a month.

Wow, that's harsh...and unoriginal. I personally love Mexican people, grew up with them, and even spent a few years in Mexico. Hell, my wife even looks more Mexican than Asian...lol. And you seem like a smart guy, so I guess you're just trolling about me not being able to score with women in the US, or anywhere else. And say hello to your mother, no offense.
