What becomes of the championship if Hendo wins and leaves his gloves in the Octagon?

Obviously the title is vacant, so is there a single fight to determine a new champ, like with Robbie/Hendricks, or a mini-tournament keeping the championship on the shelf for the better part of a year or more? There are a bunch of fighters who would have legitimate "entry" into a tournament. Who would be the two in a single fight, if that's the way it goes?

I kinda like a top 8 tourney with the seedings based on the rankings. Not a one night Pride tourney cuz those are def a thing of the past. But it could be done over a year or so. You could even do top 10 with 1 & 2 getting a first round bye if they wanted. Maybe have it all culminate for your last event of the year.

I'd be interested at least, but wtf does my opinion matter to the ufc really?

Honestly it's actually a decent way for the new parent company to introduce itself to the MMA world.

I actually have Hendo winning by KO in the first leading to something like this, if it's not a tournament then it at least throws things through a loop.

Yeah, one of the 5 would have to be an alternate. You could make a case to leave Jacare out since he lost to Romero and the other 3 are/would be former champs, but it's fucking Jacare.
