Lately I've been thinking and it's choosing the practical job over the one I really wanted. Always wanted to pursue music, and now as I hit the 30's I realized it's the only thing I never get tired doing. Though I haven't played in a long while, when I come back to it once it a while, I can still play, but I should've never stopped doing it and pursue whatever career as long as it is in line with it. Music teacher, band manager, studio/sound engineer etc. It has always been my regret..

    What are yours?

You are still on time to chase your dreams, don't let age, society, or even your own peers discourage you from chasing your dreams. Do what you love and put all your focus on that.

I have none, every failure I've encounter has been a learning experience.

Regret itself is the biggest regret, unfortunately and ironically.

Le question becomes Is regret what we feel we deserve? Do we WANT to feel bad? Is bad the intention? What does that serve?

There's no answer to that last one other than to realize and appreciate the question when you catch yourself dwelling miserably about some past transgression. To what do my thoughts and feelings serve?

Trivial ones that I wish to share with my sherbros are, I wish I had learned to drive earlier than I did, and I wish I hadn't put too much importance on what my mates thought, past up too many butterfaces in my youth for fear of being the butt of a few jokes.

Yeah but tbh, I'm at a point where it would be life changing for a career change. I have loans to pay and other financial debts and daily/yearly expenses. Like I said it won't be practical but I get your point. I still have time and I've been thinking a lot about it lately...

A few years back i was locked up in a psychiatric hospital. In retrospect i realized i could have legally gotten drugs in pharmaceutical quality for free if i just had a few violent outbursts. Chance wasted ...

    1) I should have shut myself away from friends and family to focus on my GCSEs.
    2) I wish that I focused on Maths, English and Science education when I moved to the Isle of Wight at sixteen.
    3) I wish that I started driving at sixteen.
    4) I wish that I travelled more in my early 20’s.
    5) I wish that I never looked at porn.
    6) I wish that I started at the gym much earlier.
    7) I wish that I didn’t let depression and social isolation get the better of me and stagnate me during my teens and twenties.
    8) I wish that I learned earlier that I am not actually that clever.

Past 30, I’ve done a few things right, but I have far to go and not much time left.

Would you rather continue to go on the same path and always wonder "what would it been if" or just say fuck it, I'm gonna go for it, not matter what, even if you fail, you tried.
If I wouldn't have experience what I went through, I wouldn't be where I am today. So I stand by my word, no regrets. Also I don't play lotto.

Maybe they got to a point in their life when they got over the slump and find happiness after all they've went through. I've experience that, and at some point I did say without the regrets, I wouldn't be here. But the one I share is just a realization I've been thinking for a long long time

Yeah, but weighing the pros and cons just drains me out. But maybe when the right time comes man I hope will.

Lol but seriously, seeing my friends who got married in their 20's right now is just sad. Most of them seem like they let go of themselves, look unhealthy, and just watching the years go by. I'm shocked to see them look like an old person and realize I went to high school with them

I'm not saying everyone dwells on bad decisions, of course not. I don't do that either. People who pretend they agree with every past decision are fooling themselves.

    Being alive.

Life is boring to me. It’s unhealthy, I know. Over the last few years it’s like I’m becoming more and more emotionally distant to everything. Like I’m emotionally bankrupt unless it’s something to do with myself. I’m not selfish or anything, just numb. No matter what it is, everything is boring.

All we do is distract ourselves as best we can until we die. Unfortunately for me those distractions just aren’t working. I can’t stop thinking about doing bad shit. It’s like I’m addicted to chaos now. I don’t like it. That’s just how my brain works, though. I was a lot brighter a few years ago. I’m tired. Life for me is like a big sigh.

I don’t want a fucking day job doing the same shit everyday. I need action. I need something new. Society barely even offers that. You’re expected to slave over the same bullshit everyday, get fucked by the government and then die like an unaccomplished fool. We’re here and then we’re gone forever. Who gives a fuck. It’s all irrelevant nonsense in the end. I just can’t enjoy anything anymore. Always had issues but the Fucking drugs ruined me for good.

This isn’t the type of thread to post this in but whatever.

Just because someone doesn't regret anything, doesn't mean they agree with every decision they have made. If i could go back and make decisions/actions again I would do a lot differently, but I don't actively "regret" any of them.

Regret : "a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over an occurrence or something that one has done or failed to do"
