Over the pass 4 years rightly or wrongly the Republicans have more or less become the ‘Trump’ party with the main message of backing Trump till the end and beyond. Now that he has lost the presidency I am curious as to what Americans here (especially republican voters) think the values of the Republican Party actually are and what do they (the GOP) offer US citizens? Will the republicans platform or message change any time soon?

Actually there's a decent amount of former Republicans like myself that have distanced themselves from the party of today. It's unrecognizable and they need to change things badly. Yes there's a part of the party that is full of nuts that believe in QAnon and other crazy shit, but not all of us are like that.

So I guess in the end, the Republican party has a lot to do to bring people like myself back along with others.

Which of these issues do you see as the most important?

Basically the same as the liberal rejects. However, instead of believing that dudes in dresses are real chicks, believing we are still in the jim crow era, and believing that we should support millions of lazy bums that don't want to get a job. Recucklicans believe in christian mythology, a gay/:eek::eek::eek::eek: commie takeover, and think that blowing through billions of dollars of defense contracts via the taxpayer is cool.

I like the original Republican party. Freedom, free labor, free enterprise, anti slavery, abolition.

Notice none of these things actually help people move up the economic ladder or give them access to affordable healthcare.

this is the modern conservative mind in a nutshell.

What do you believe they would need to specifically do to bring you back (hypothetically)?

Well actually I can't post the real main issues because it's probably bannable.

I'm still republican but not a big fan of the radical element that he garnered o much attention lately. I don't get how radicals like that, left or right, are for real.
