What are the ingrates getting this V-Day? (Ideas, humble brags, horror stories, etc)

@superking 's glorious plans in the "Valentine's is lame" thread made me want to create a separate thread for the romantically inclined.

What you guys got going this year? What's the most you've done? What's the dumbest shit you've done?

A couple years ago I bought my wife a foot spa, diffuser, back scratcher, robe, and slippers. So now I just set that up every couple weeks, and it's automatic on holidays.

This year she gets a box of gourmet donuts and $200 bouquet of roses at work. Then 2 new Switch games and See's Candies when she gets home. With the foot spa setup.

Dumbest shit I've done is buy a girl in college a rabbit. Fuckin thing had a heart attack in the middle of the night and died in the cage at my house.




And In b4 cuck comments. I get blown and then i get this. Get relaxed.

 

Still trying to figure it out well I am having a beer at the bar...

Have diner reservations already but no clue on the present..

Either way I know we are both getting layed, so no real conundrum

 

Idk. Valentine's day is stupid. Maybe nothing?

 

i get the place to myself for the entire weekend.

 

We’re going to Vegas on Monday. We go every 5 years around Valentines Day.

 

My wife's birthday was Monday the 10th so we went out to her favorite high-end Mexican restaurant in Sedona that night to celebrate. So, we're going to stay in tomorrow night. For her Valentine's gift, I got my wife the new bedding set that she's been hinting around about since Christmas time. It's pretty nice looking but I didn't know that bedding has designers like clothing does & that the prices are almost as much as designer clothing is. I mean, damn, the most I ever spent on bedding was like $100 for some LL Bean flannel sheets & I thought that was a lot. But this designer stuff from Nordstrom's is just crazy!
Thank God my wife loves both Donna Karan & Barefoot Dreams just as much as one another because the DKNY stuff would have cost me almost as much as our bed cost. Thank you Barefoot Dreams for saving me a bundle.
As for me, all I asked for was this Blu-ray & she came through for me:

So, tomorrow we're going to order in & watch this as my treat for the day.

That's the one, my friend. The biggest selling point for me was that both the theatrical version & the uncut, unrated versions are included on separate discs. Both of which are 4K restorations from the original negative.
I can't wait to watch tomorrow night.

This year, same as every year avoiding restaurants. I did a fancy dinner and wine tasting for her bday 2 weeks ago so that's good for me.

Most I've done for Valentines day.....the first year my ex and I lived together. We went to a winery that had dinner and a comedy show. We ended up being seated near the stage and one of the comics pointed us out and started talking shit. You're a good looking woman...why are you here with THAT guy? That sort of thing......

Same situation here. My wife's birthday was on Monday so we got the fancy dinner over with already. Now, today is just the day that she gets her b-day & v-day combo gift after which we'll just chill out.
And, yeah, that live comedy thing sounds like a nightmare. Sorry that happened to you, bro.
