I generally have a hard time concentrating and memorizing. So far getting plenty of sleep and fish oil has helped a lot, but I still feel that my mental capabilities are below average. I also started on Ginko Bilboba, haven't really noticed anything from that.

Caffeine + lots of sleep + lots of fish oil is pretty much all I use.

The Memorall formula is pretty popular with the older folk. But for my money anything with a lot of phosphatidyls. Particularly good doses of phosphatidyl serine, been shown to decrease the amount of perceived fatigue when exercising, and increase mental focus.

Sleep isn't a supplement, and it's hard to concentrate when you're sleeping.

Any specific brands you recommend KK?

I've had good luck with green tea in terms of increasing my concentration.

It doesn't work every time (i.e. if I don't get enough sleep) but drinking 3-5 cups per day has really helped me stay alert and focused.

Ya, I've heard it does pretty decent for mental focus. Don't they use that for some Alzheimer

Ginko Biloba isn't going to do you any good unless your taking the exact right dose and that's not the recommended dosage. It's different for everyone so your very likely not taking the right dose.

I definitely remember some stuff that can help with memory and learning, but I wanna get my notes before I post anything to make sure it's right. I took a "Neurobio of Learning and Memory" class last Fall quarter and I got a lot of good info out of it. I'll find my notes when I get back from class today.

Was it Sonny, I think, started a thread awhile back on l-taurine helpin' with concentration. I've been takin' it for awhile and it seems to help. Ya gotta take like a tablespoon like 3x a day tho to really get the benefit.

I'm still wondering about piracetam

I was reading Wired and it said fish. So maybe fish oil?

But it said that was a long term thing. Always good to know.
