Danger close, where an Aussie company did what an American battalion managed at La Drang (held off thousands of VC).

I've seen enough US war films for one lifetime. How about some war films from other countries' perspectives? I'm especially interested in anything about the Pacific Theatre of WW2 or the Korean War.

Some I recommend:

Unknown Soldier (2017) is a Finnish film about the Continuation War (Finland vs USSR, 1941-1944)

Das Boot (1981) is a West German film about a German submarine in the Atlantic in WW2. Most people are probably familiar with this one.

same dudes who made Das Boot made a Stalingrad movie. its not the new one but the older one. its epic.

All quiet on the western front is amazing. Its on netflix so I just expected it to be kinda crap but it is fantastic. Highly recommend it. The way they use the sound to build tension is incredible. Great movie.
ok but....which version did you see?

There are THREE films by that name on IMDB.com :
1930 version:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0020629/reference/

1979 version :
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078753/reference/

2022 version :
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1016150/reference/

let me know... i've heard they're good movies...just not sure which version to see first...

Downfall
Stalingrad 1993
The Forgotten Battle
All Quiet on the Western Front

The newest Stalingrad film and Enemy at the Gates are absolute trash.
