What annoys you the most rolling with others in class?

    For me,

    1)it's a funky gi and
    2) know it alls who give you pointers that's the opposite of what the instructor wants us to do.

In Taekwondo(I know, not grappling but I have no real pet peeves grappling):
Being coached by a color belt.
Not getting much attention from my instructor.

I sorta don't like always getting tapped, but that is my own fault.

Edit: I annoy myself by posting on the Grappling forum a LOT more often then I post in Stand Up, despite being more qualified in Stand Up.

One incident that really annoyed me last night. I was practicing hip throws with a blue belt. So I pulled 3 throws on my right side and decided to switch. I switched grips on his gi and he looked at me like "what are you doing". He didn't switch his grip. I said I wanted to practice the other side. He responded that 'You should only practice throws on one side, your stronger side". And he refused to switch his grip so I could practice. I really wanted to tell him off, but I guess since I'm only a month old at BJJ, I felt it was out of place. That annoyed the shit out of me last night. I know it's my fault I didn't stand up for myself, but I'm learning, and next time I'll just throw him if he doesn't want to be 'nice' and switch his grip and help me practice the right way.

lol.. i read in a previous post you been training for a month. You think you know better than a blue belt at one month training?
When you can throw people with your good side without fail is when you would train other side.

lol u started this thread? wow..

You've got a month under your white belt. Show some respect. The blue belt may just know what he's talking about.

Are you a black belt at instructor? Maybe I'm getting this wrong, but if someone practices it both sides, won't they get better...hmmm. I don't know what BJJ rule book you use, but you sound like a 'know it all'...

umm, maybe they are actually really tired, i'd credit them more for still trying. Not everyone starts out with great cardio.

Can we just drop the "blind obedience" thing on here for one second? So what if the guy was a blue and the other guy was a one-month white? He was asking to practise both sides (which shows a good attitude, in my opinon), not asking to do some crazy move he'd seen on YouTube or some other bullshit that his instructor didn't demonstrate. The blue should have advised against it, if that's what he believed, but still honoured his training partner's wishes.

People who try and pull off stuff like flying armbars when,
    A) We started from the knees and B) We agreed to go 60%

Also I don't like it when a new guy tells me that the instructor didn't know what he was talking about considering that it's my uncle.

Hmmmm lets see I should have a list of these things by now:
    1. Smelly anything.
    2. Grinding your forearms into my face; this isn't competition and I don't want gi burns on my face the whole time (good cross facing is fine by me)
    3. Using elbows to break closed guard; maybe it works on those who can't or don't want to tolerate a bit of pain, but it never works on those who simply don't want to open
    4. Skin diseases - can't stand that shit
    5. Cranking on "potential" submissions with intent to scare the person into tapping
    6. Cranking on actual submissions with intent to scare the person into tapping
    7. Small joint manipulation

I have others but those are the first ones that come to mind
