after Volkov Struve fight, I want to see this guy in ufc, do you know anything about current negotiations between him and ufc? or is he willing to enjoy lower level competition like Fedor?

Haven't heard a word about him since he won the Bellator title and simply disappeared.

He fights in Russia now.

I really wanted him to try a UFC run... Fucking hell, man.

he knocked Bigfoot out in Russia earlier this year in June. he looks like he's at least 300lbs now though...

More likely that he's unlikely to fight for $7000/$7000 and a $2000 Reebok "bonus".

The UFC won't pay a guy like him over $100k a fight. They'd rather just get cans off of Dana White's Tuesday Night Can-Opener Series.

Non of these Russian nutcases can get visas
And it's probably a good thing, or every champ in every division would be Russian

Shit pay + usada + shit contract = UFC can get fucked. Dude fights in his homeland and deals with probably a 3rd of the shit that UFC would give him. Last I heard I thought he has amenable to going back to bellator

i just remember seeing this, compared to TRT Bigfoot, he looks pretty friggin enormous here.

compared to how he looked the last time i saw him in Bellator, where he was supposedly 249lbs

I'm happy he's getting paid, and I realize that he has his own reasons for not fighting in US. That being said, it sucks not having him compete in the UFC.

If he changes his mind, it would be a win-win: fans get to see how he stacks up against current top HW (Werdum/Overeem/JDS/Stipe/Cain), and the UFC HW division gets a boost of a legit/proven talent (as they need to have legit guys beyond the 5 mentioned above, esp. since JDS will be suspended and Cain fights once every 2 years).

He's on a bulk diet for a while, that's for sure

UFC should get this guy. The HW's need new blood.

He's not going to be fighting in the UFC until he completes his Bellator contract, so I'd forget about Minakov. He has a shit load of fights left on his contract.

I remember watching the snoozefest which was Kongo vs Minakov in Bellator and I wasn't really impressed with that performance

Maybe if the UFC signed him he could rematch Volkov, IDK. I don't think this guy really cares about fighting in the US to be honest.

Doesn't he have to fight in Bellator if he comes back to the US? I remember something like he was stripped but not cut

I'd rather see him come back and straighten out his division in Bellator than go to the UFC

I think he could be a legit heavyweight in the UFC. Would love to see him against Black Beast.

Then how did all those scary, shady guys in Brighton Beach get in?
