JDS is a terrible matchup for him.
I admire his desire to avenge his loss against a stylistic nightmare, but considering how his standup looked against Nog, he may want to hold off for a bit.
Maybe if he flops on his back repeatedly, he can beat JDS.
I expect him to be in better shape than last time.
He was bulking at the time. You gain fat when you do it, but it doesn't mean he was out of shape. I do think he took JDS far too lightly though.
Werdum is a smart HW. If Cain wins, a TUF on Mexico between those two would be huge for the sport. Company man
would be surprised if he didnt
I wonder if that's who Dana was talking about when he said the fans would be blown away by the decision for the next TUF coaches. He's probably just waiting to see if Cain will come out on top before he decides to announce it. Great idea if you ask me
247lbs vs. Vera
256lbs vs. JDS
228lbs vs. Mike kyle
238lbs vs. Fedor
He must have bulked right before he fought JDS, and changed his mind afterwards.
Champions need to be defending their title and focusing on the challengers, not hosting some prospect hunt reality show TUF.
Werdum should be rooting for Cain, I think he has a better chance against Cain than JDS.
Either way both fights are still good.
As far as TUF and Cain... It's bound to happen and one of the reasons why I hate the shit show.
Pretty much, he said it was to compete against guys like Brock who was cutting to 265 at the time.
It would be more competitive but he would lose again
Cain is the easier fight for Werdum since it's probably going to the ground. Cain is still way too fast for him though and will just TKO him standing.
Of course he does. I wouldn't mind seeing it either actually.
For the sake of his championship dreams, he should be hoping for a Cain match. I think he loses to both, but he has a better shot at beating Cain with something from the guard. JDS, however, would beat him 10 times out of 10.
Specially because Werdum is gaining a lot of exposure in Mexico and I gotta say he is a very enjoyable character who speaks perfect spanish, the chemistry he got with the mexican commentators is great
TUF Mexico Coach Werdum vs Team Cain would be huge and the main TV company in there(with whom UFC has a deal already) is a MONSTER
Yes, for a while here in Argentina we had UFC on foxsports with mexican commentators and it was awesome to have him there. Technical and funny.
Rematch will be interesting...I dont expect a quick KO like that again.....but I still got JDS by TKO.
