Prior to the Stann fight, Wanderlei participated in the TUF Brazil 2 shooting. He's one of Team Werdum's coaches. They did some sparring, as Wanderlei's final preparation, before heading to Japan.

Werdum said that he was the sparring partner, so Wanderlei wouldn't accidentally hurt this season's competitors.

"That's what happened. He wrecked me. He hits so hard, my eye got shattered - he even posted it on the internet. He managed to revert position while we were grappling, although he is 20 kilos lighter than me. He caught me on a guillotine. Wanderlei was so physically strong, that my chin got cutted, demanding some stitches. Than I was sure: that's the old Wand.''

Wanderlei is a beast. Always has been, he's just lost to very hard hitters. He goes out to put on a show, of course he wants to win, but he won't change his fighting style and you have to love watching him fight because of that. Of course he's not the same fighter he used to be, but man, he's still one of the most dangerous guys and you can never count him out no matter who he fights. Wandy is a just bleed fans wet dream.

cool pictures TS, i like when people include good pictures into the thread about what their posting about. on a side note, i really hope that wanderlei can put together a solid win streak. would love to see wanderlei vs hendo 3, or wanderlei vs lombard, wanderlei vs leben II, wand vs chael , wand vs glover, wand vs vitor, theres still plenty of good matchups for wanderlei imo.
